Is it Humanly Possible, that the writers believe this stuff?

as many of you know, whom have been in the org for a while.. the wt is hard coded into your mind.

sometimes, i will read a wt, to make sure that i hadn't imagined all of the ridiculousness... and then i read a wt like this : http://m.wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2004168 (is linking to this legal?).

I recently listened to Brother Dunlap's audio recording http://www.jwinfoline.com/Page/audio.htm

It makes much more sense now.. Anytime a witness sits down to prepare a part, or to write an article, his primary objective is to write the article in agreement with "Current Light". With this objective, naturally he will primarily consult the Insight book and the Watchtower Library, the Bible would be used only as a source for Supporting Quotes. It would not be necessary to fabricate new interpretations, they have already been done.

This leads me to question, the person(s) that establish "New Light" what might their motives be? Is it more of the same? They are working with he set of doctrines, they have inherited?

It's amazing that the only "Biblical Commentary" type book the Organization has ever produced (Aid Book) resulted in 2 or 3? of the 5 writers either leaving or getting booted from the Org.

1. They go as far as to claim that "The Evil Slave" is a different slave then the "Faithful & Discreet Slave"! LOL I have never noticed this before.

2. They claim that the slave is Evil, because of disappointment over 1914!? As if harsh words can be compared to a Law Book of 1,000 intricate laws, some carrying Complete Seperation from Family & Friends As a Punishment.. Hmm

3. What tops it all off.. This article goes on to to support the fact, that there were faithful and discreet slaves since 33 CE, while completely ignoring anything anyone has done for the past 1900 years. and of course, this article is "Old Light" since we all know that the bible says that the First faithful and discreet slave was Rutherford : (

with the following information i'm about to desconspire myself a little bit, but i don't really care since i will simply deny it if any of my elders are lurking here.

Backseat - I feel that a lot of people become obsessed with "Truth". And you are absolutely correct Jesus did provide a lot of tools.

This is the reason, Millions of people believe in their own version of the Truth, based on what the Bible Says.

A prime example, "Hell" and eternal torment, are in the Bible - Revelation 20:10 - " 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever"

The Trintity is in the Bible John 1:1

You are also right, it is Difficult to Start with Biblical Hebrew, and 1000s of years later to arrive at English.. I'm sure people that can read Biblical Hebrew have an easier time grasping the meanings.

It seems that there are tests in the bible, tests that measure our faith.. Example John 6:56 " Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him." This could have been explained in so many ways, but by saying it this way there could only be 2 outcomes. The listener would either become stumbled and stop walking with Jesus.. Or the listener would say to himself "I don't understand this saying, but I know Jesus, and I know that his way is upright, I will be patient and hope to understand it better later"

The Bible has multiple messages built into it. You can get a little or you can get a lot from it, you can also get stumbled by it, or stop believing completely because of it.

Faith combined with Holy Spirit , will allow anyone to read it, and understand, what is required of them to gain Salvation.

As for Truth,only God possesses absolute Truth, he can can reveal it or hide it in any way that he sees fit. If we focus on the Fundamentals of the Word, and we humble our selves we can understand all that God allows us to.

Cold Steel - thanks for the comment. It's reasonable & practical. It's clear that Jesus did not refrain from associating, with people just because of their beliefs, or even because of their lifestyle. He healed based on Love and he healed sinners and believers alike.

Something that stands out to me is his method of teaching.. He did not focus on other peoples beliefs, and why they were wrong, rather he convinced them that following him was the best and only way to life. He taught with Love & not Hate.

One last thing, he did not request to be Killed. He simply stuck to the truth, and taught the truth. This is what made people hate him.

Thank You all again...

I will need to review all of this as we'll.. There are quite a few good points, that have to be weighed against everything else.

One other thing that I'm factoring into All of this is, Matthew 13:30 - " Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest season, I will tell the reapers: First collect the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them up; then gather the wheat into my storehouse.’

I believe the wheat and the weeds to be Some sort of Christian's - Not just a "Member" of a christian church, rather A Christian that has received the free gift of holy spirit to some extent.

It seems to be significant, that they are growing together. Could this mean, they are members of a Christian Church? Or does it mean, they are not members of a denomination and they are the body of Christ?

I believe that all Organized Religions are a part of Babylon the Great. This Includes the JW Organization, in my Opinion.

Meeting Today

me and the spouse looked over the wt and decided it wouldn't be in our best spiritual interest to stay for the wt (we usually don't anymore).. so, took the kids to the public talk (was actually great, nice brother), took them outside for a snack and snuggled/played...and then left (an hour early).. .

felt great!

gotta do what you know is best for you spiritually!

Yeah I know how you feel lamb.. After spending some time reading the bible, the WT really discourages me. Not to mention when you have to sing a song that is all about GB and elder praise.

The Truth is Always Simple to Grasp.

i would like to share my understanding of armageddon & the end of the 1,000 year reign.

i would really appreciate any criticism, or facts that dispute this understanding... especially if the facts are from the bible.. - adam & eve were perfect and they sinned with a perfect mind & body.. - all mankind that has lived since adam & eve have been imperfect, none have had the ability to resist sin, nor have they had the ability to see or understant absolute truth that can only originate from god.. - if imperfect humans were judged, while still imperfect, one could reason that adam & eve had been given a better chance at life then what the rest of humanity was given.. - 1 john 4:8,9.

- 1 timothy 2:6. armageddon.

Humbled - I was careful to not state that my understanding is truth, or fact. You are also correct that there are other sources that should be considered when compiling facts. If there is another resource that you have used, that has proved beneficial please let me know and I will examine it.
