i know that i definitely shouldn't be on this website, but i am to embarassed to ask anyone at my hall!

This is how the magazines are designed to make us feel. WT want us to continually try harder and do more to be worthy. I am not surprised to learn that you enjoyed the meeting due to the fact that the CO's wife was nice to you and the CO had a charasmatic personality and his talk was funny and easy to listen to. As Punky has mentioned this is called "love bombing". JWs pay a lot of attention to you and draw you in with their love.

I noticed though you didn't mention much as regards to doctrines or policies, this is the dangerous part that many on this site want to warn you about. I reiterate what Punky suggested. To learn the full facts about the JWs please check out jwfacts.com and learn why some leave the WT.

My sister is getting df'd.....

just found out that my little sister is getting df'd next week.

her husband left her about a year ago got df'd and recently got a girl pregnant.

my sister has had a hard time with the whole situation as you can imagine.

I am with Steve on this. Your sister will have to jump through hoops now. She confessed so she was repentant, she shouldn't have been Df'd in the first place. She will have to go to all the meetings and prepare her WT and Draw Close to Jehovah book to prove she is repentant and still there are no guarentees the elders will see her as repentant. She will have to go to another JC and talk explicitly.

I was Df'd unjustly. I tried to get RI'd five times until I quit. I recoreded my last JC and realised they would never RI me. Thankfully I realised, with the help of sites like this, that holy spirit was not guiding my JC or the WT org.

Well done Kim. This is a step in the right direction. I wonder if he would get Df'd for stealing and lying. I bet his BOE peers will say he is repentant and is forgiven. This will be an eye opener for many in the cong I hope.

LONGEVITY IS A HALLMARK OF STUPID RELIGIONS

we credit religious believers with far too much interest in and/or ability to engage in reasoning.

we overlook two hugely compelling factors that drive and revive "faith": emotional need for religious meaning, including to be consoled over awful events, and being born into the religion.

raised from day one to recite stupidity, it is then hard to assess stupidity for what it is.. that is why there is no shortage of stupid religions who turn date-speculation into a near-art form.

I think WT longevity is due to the fact it is a machine. There are too many in positions of power that will keep the machine going. They like the power and the money. Even many R&F JWs who learn TTATT stay stuck in, and keep the WT going. These JWs are trapped by very clever, greedy men in power. The shunning policy keeps them going.

The July 15th 2014 WT has an article about being loyal and not an apostate. Very clever loaded language. They are associating disloyalty with apostacy. DISLOYAL= APOSTATE. JWs are scared of the word apostate because it has been misused and wrongly defined and now WT are using it in a more controlling way.

Steve, I don't think stupidity has anything to do with WT longevity, I believe intellect has a lot to do with it. They govern with fear, but in an icidiously clever way.

I am Df'd.

Was Df'd in 2012 but very much in. Learned TTATT in Feb 2013. Had a grand exit in Nov 2013, recorded my last JC, and it's gone viral over the net.

i am going to throw down the gaunlet.

those who know the truth but stay in anyways are complicit in actions of the jehovah witness organization.

while i am sympathetic to the very difficult choices that they have to make, their unwillingness to confront the jw enables the organization.. some of you may remember my story.

Doc, I have to say you do more than just vent, you have given out some pretty good advice also. Sometime I have regrets that I did not shut my trap, but then I imagine my life still married lots of DV and keeping it quiet, it would be too much for my kids. So you see we are all in different circumstances, and have different personalities. I enjoy your contributions, keep up the good work.

so this is the ultimate dilemma.

my wife and i are on the same page.

do we fade, in which all our friends, and i stress friends call us and feel sick and hurt and hurt and we feel guilty; or do we da so we tell the wt what we see as wrong as what we see that lead us to believe its a false religion; or do we df and let me or my wife let them catch us at some wrong doing and stop going to meetigs..... .

Keep getting up, and make a plan and follow the plan till it stops working and then modify it and keep going. -VG

Thank you for your encouragement, but my point was that many couldn't do what I did because it is too scary for them to have such a challenge. I am coping. TBH recently I have reconnected with all my studies and see them often, I am not as isolated as I once was so my situation is improving.

Billy, you make a good point but it's doing some of them harm staying in. I like to see what my son is learning, but it's not essential for his well being, we have jw.org. Those stuck in who are suffering severe CD need our support more than we need theirs. I must say Billy, you have done a lot of good on this site and yu helped me to exit. Thanks
