How did you teach your kids TTATT? How old were they?

when i first started going on "other" jw websites my head was spinning so i didn't say anything to my kids about what i had read.

steve hassan's material helped a lot it was when i read that, that i realised i need to free my kids.. i got a lot of advice from jwn too.. my daughter had moved cities and went to the hall we used to visit frequently.

things changed when she became a member instead of just a visitor.

Thanks James Brown for your story. It's nice to hear that leaving without your spouse can work out for the best. I bet if you'd have stayed in waiting for your wife, both you, your son and your wife could still be there now.

In your memory, what was the nicest day you had out in field service?

for me, that happy day was in morro bay, calif. it was the fall, oct 1958 or 9. gorgeous weather.

the sun was shining and the wind was coming off of the ocean.. at that time, morro bay was unassigned territory.. talesin on another thread was talking about a lovely day she had, going with her grandfather, talking with a mr languages.

lol.

I loved the preaching work. It was all great fun, I truly believed. I went out with lots of different brothers and sisters, in the cong, circuit, district, and even on the other side of the country. I had loads of studies and thankfully they are my close friends now I am out. Sadly one I was involved with got baptised and is stuck in the Borg, I am so glad no one else got baptised.

A few thoughts on the District, um, Regional... sigh....

i don't even know what the bloody event is called anymore.

i think it's still a district convention until it goes to two days, isn't it?

my convention program leaflet just says "convention of jehovah's witnesses", seemingly intentionally avoiding the change in wording.

Excellent nonjwspouse, I think it's never too young and to ask what they think, it helps them have their own opinions, instead of just copying their parents.

I think you are an excellent example to all UBMs. I think if all UBMs were like you then none of their children would ever get baptised. Well done.

JW refuses to provide wedding stationery to Gay couple

i think she is a hypocrite and i bet she sells her invites to fornicators, or does she ask them if they are having sex before marrige, before she takes their money?.

i was never like this when i was a jw, it's even more disturbing that she is going to ask her elders what to do.

Being anti-semetic and running a rally is illegal in most countries, especially Isreal. This is not an appropriate comparisson in my view. Jews hate all Nazi's because the are anti-semtic and ignorant of Judaism. Gays don't hate JWs, they have different political and cultural views. Some Gays are quite possibly anti-semetic. Who knows?? New Leaflet to give to JW about TTATT

hi to all my fellows "apostates" in all world... especially in e.u.a.

and uk.. as some of you already know, ex-jw in portugal created a leaflet especialy to send to jw in all the country (individualy or to congregations).

we must say that it was a sucess from the point of view of the impact originated.

I just noticed this tactic

in reading terrys latest post, if made me think of something that exists and many of us have experienced but i have not really put into a logical thoughts process before.

in terrys 4 facts everyone should know about jw's, the second one referrs to the walsh trial where unity is said to be more important than truth, in no uncertain terms.. this made me think about how one would bring up this fact.

my mind wandered to the beginning of my fade, when inevitably, many of us open up our mouths and say too much.

This is called information control. It's part of the BITE model. In WT they only have limited control. We got out and so have countless others, live with hope. Kate xx
