I've witnessed to my family, (especially my brother who has been so affected by the WT doctrine), my friends and neighbors (who don't really understand), to the Mormon missionaries which are constantly dogging me, to members of my bible study group, to my husband (who would rather I have a completely different obsession!), and to a local talk show radio host while on the air (the guy let me talk for about 10 minutes, too!). But the most satisfying witnessing I've done so far was to JW Mom last week... although she is still the quintessential ostrich, at least I finally got the nerve up to talk to her about the UN!

BTW - can I count my time for this?!!!

Thanks for reposting this! I missed it the first time around! I am so impressed with it that I think I will send a copy of it to one of our local talk show hosts here in my area - it is the most powerful radio station in the western US and is heard from CA to Montana. (It is the same station Rush Limbaugh came from before going national). I have a feeling this guy would love to do a piece on it - and I bet if others could take it to their local talk radio stations, it could get even more coverage nationwide! Anyone else want to join in on getting this information on the airwaves?!!!

my wonderful husband knows that i have been a religious person most of my life and while he despises jehovah's witnesses with a passion, he knows that i still believe in god and christ.

he being a greek orthodox and a wonderful human being he bought me a beautiful crucifix of jesus on a cross.

it is black stone and silver and says on the back of the cross, alpha and omega.

I understand about having and displaying pictures of people who have passed that you cherish. But displaying pictures of deceased loved ones in happier times and displaying and/or wearing pictures or emblems of them in the throes of a painful and hideous death are two different things to me. I'm not trying to be crass, but my point is I can't bear to wear something that reminds me of Jesus' pain and suffering. I think for me, it is enough to know he endured it for me, without looking at his fate everytime I put on my necklace or when I look in the mirror.

But then, as my dad would say.... 'That's why they make Fords and Chevrolets ... different people have different tastes'.
