  An elder wants to study with me...please help!

  after my recent barrage of elder visits i've been told that to truly show i'm willing to work at restoring my faith a bs is needed.. i want to be able to pick a few recent publications (last 10 yrs) and sit down with him and examine all the quotes and references in the publications to show how the society has misquoted and misrepresented so much in their publications.

  do you know which publications would be best..keeping in mind the reference material will also have to readily accessible to be of any use.

  i don't think searching on the internet will be acceptable to him.. .

  and hey if ya want outta it just pretend to be possessed by demons and foam at the mouth and run around the room tearing clothes off and jumping on furnature. scream in an incomprehensible language that you just made up on the spur of the moment and then if that dont do it run up to them and hump there legs and whimper like a whipped puppy........... or better yet impersonate a young child and beware of molestation hahahahaha sorry just needed something crazy to be said and i have a phd in crazy

  just wondering... with all this hot weather we're having at the moment (92 in wsm, which for the uk is as hot as it gets), are sisters still expected to wear tights - that's pantyhose btw - to the meetings and when out in the ministry?.

  her ladyship says that only old dears wear tights in summer anyway.. so, what is the current permitted apparel for sisters?

  hahaha this is a messed up thread geeze. points made......... pretty women might in fact get hooked straight out of the gate by some rich person............ but you damn well know that there being hooked as a temporary trophy wife or gf and will be replaced by someone younger and better looking (due to the fact that no one remains cute and perky all there life without silicone additives and even then) the men that marry that type of woman are all focusing on the outside and dont care whats on the inside as long as she is a yes girl. i have known several feminests and some of them actually made me feel bad when i tried to be helpfull and open a door or offered to carrry something for them and i find myself now not offering as much so as not to offend then i wonder .............. did this or that girl really need help? when i look at the ones i knew ill admit one of them was more manly acting than me but i think she made that choice to look that way because i have seen pictures of her when she was younger and she looked pretty enough. but to say that all feminests are ugly is just crazy because what has looks to do with intelligence or a persons beliefs. heck i even had a beautiful girl want to dance with me before an of course i was to damn shy, lol but she knew me from visiting with her grandmother and so she really knew me. so that just leaves me to question her sanity lol hahahahha. pretty people make me nervouse but cute ones are another story well................ kinda are sometimes lol.

  i remember growing up and thinking that there was no way i would have kids ......... why ???

  ....... because i did not want to raise them the way i was raised, in the borg.

  i went through hell, why put a defenceless child through that.

  Theocratic School Talks, they were the worst ! hated doing them, did you ?

  remember back to the days you were in the theocratic school and had to give talks, were they the worst or what, i remember they were suppose to run about 6-8 minutes, i had some short as 3. the talks were pointless, you would just throw some mumble jumble together and go up and talk, first the introduction (and don't forget your gestures), then read the weekly scripture and then the conclusion, all your words of wisdom.

  i would rank this second on the worst list next to field service (still # 1).. how about you, did you enjoy doing them ?

  well i hated service except for the social part lol. youknow breaks ruled but talks werent so bad once i got over the inital horror. i was good at them......... well compared to a decent number in my small cong. if i took the time to get it ready ahead of time it was easy and if i didnt i could always bs them as i went along. then i gave a real good talk on cleanlyness............ and some of my friends didnt want to have me over after that.............. and my friends wife said it was cause i gave such a good talk she didnt think she could measure up to it........................ and then i laughed and said that she was gonna get the rare ivitation to look into my piled up horror of a room next time they came over lol. i just took the borgs nanotechnological information virus and made it fun to listen to. after that she was ok with me visiting them again lol. my cong had publishers right around 40 so i was only nervous when new people were there. go figure lol

  Convention Concessions

  here's a question for you all... why does the society insist that all concession stands be closed at their convention facilities?.

  i can understand that back when they provided their own food service, they would not want the competition.

  (and in all fairness, their service was undoubtedly cheaper for the friends, many of whom have limited funds.

  yeah all of us could hook up outside in the hall way and have our own tailgate party and if the brothers came with those signs saying please be seated we can pour beer on him lol. someone would end up with a stereo and how long till danceing and fornicateing lol then wed run outta money for beer so we would have to knock over a contribution box or two............................

  in a way im glad the wts has hinted that mobile phones are expensive, time wasting, immoral devices.

  anything to reduce the number of people shouting into plastic blocks on public transport gets my vote.

  however they go as far as to assume that young people who have one will use it to talk to members of the opposite sex!
