  I got a call from an elder, he wants to come visit tomorrow.........

  so what to do?????.

  he was a family friend for years.....i saw him in the supermarket a few months back and he stopped and chatted to me for a while.....he rang me today to see if he can call in the morning for a cuppa......he says he isnt coming to preach...... he is one of those likeable people..........but has had a heart attack shortly after i saw him in the supermarket......he says he is okay now.. so i cant really see the point...........he is older; in his 70's.......and i think whatever we talk about i dont want to be responsible for putting his health at risk by opposing his beliefs.. am i missing an opportunity or should i leave well alone?.

  best bet............... meet him somewhere. say you have an errand early that morning and find a place not to far from his place... that way if he starts some s*** you can hightail it outta there.

  otherwise id thank him and pass on that invitation, and express joy that he is doing better.

  How A Group Can Close a Diner

  i can remember when i was a witless, we would go to a particular diner frequently.

  this place closed at 10:00 pm, so obviously they did not like having 40 or 50 of us coming after the circus meeting.

  that was what they did, week after week, showing up at precisely 9:50 pm.

  hell they shoulda put up a sign...................... for religous partys of more than 8 we charge a 20% gratuity...............

  they can try to say that there is only 6 at my table..... but they could say.......... the entire diner is your party so fraking pay up or get out. lol then it would be worth having the extra staff and makeing them stay late.

  why is it that people seem to get so much more offended?

  is it that we have so may rules and laws in place now that some of these offenses should not be happening anymore?.

  we don't seem to be a people that has much tolerance anymore.. for people to learn, to have another opinion, to be immature, to be old, to have a bad day.. if there is an invasion of bounderies, then surely the person knew better.. by now everyone should be informed!!!!

  they should know better.. everyone before us has figured it all out so we should know!.

  i enjoy reading them, but do not feel they have any kind of "power" or are somehow "guided" to reach their final recipient.

  i do acknowledge the possibility that if they happen to contain good advice, then perhaps that may have a positive effect.

  manager should have found out innocently when their meetings let out................. then closed the resturant 5 minutes before that time on meeting nights

  Moving on... advice needed

  so this week, i broke up with my "on again off again" girlfriend of 8 months.

  i came to realize that even though i cared about her immensely, i didn't see us working out long term.

  that thought hit me a couple weeks ago, so i didn't think i should waste anymore of her time or mine.

  it hurts now......... but it would hurt a hell of alot more if later on after you spent years with this lady and then decided it wasnt gonna work out.

  better off looking for that person it will work out with instead of wasteing time

  dont rush into anything,,,,,,, especially since your gf might feel you dumped her to be with this other girl.

  would make a bad sitation worse

  hope things work out for ya bro
