first one in at least 5 years.......wife does not want to sit in and i just told her if she does not, then i am not either.....this loss of faith thingy has really been rough on our marriage.......i have decided to not bring up a single issue i have........i will relate to them my illustration of the taxi driver who keeps giving out bad directions i posted yesterday.......i think what will surprise them maybe is that my loss of faith goes way beyond wt.......i have lost virtually faith in the bible and god......one has already told the "first place to start is to get going to the meetings again!"....lmao!!!.........

i hope their programed brains can grasp that maybe you need faith in a god first.....then find out what method (or book) he is using to educate us if he wants to....and then if you feel the need....look around to find out if there is a group of folks who all have similar beliefs.........this should be interesting...........oompa.

ok for future reference....... most sheparding calls in my old cong, they expected to be given something to eat and drink.... cake and coffee or some such thing....... next time be prepared.

if you want a short visit....... i reccomend EXLAX chocolate chip cookies. hope they have plenty of back issues for the ride back

just dont do the whole boiled egg thing............. i got to do that once growing up........... sure the eggs are pretty and might be fun to decorate......... but they aint much fun to eat. those plastic ones with candy or money in them........ much better route lol

I have alot to be thankful for

there was a time when i almost picked up that bookbag and bible, headed out the door for the kingdom hall, again, leaving my kids.. i was sure that going to the meetings, studying, field service, good association, was more pleasing to god than my relationship/responsiblity to my children.

none of them were going to be in the truth, so i hardened my heart and little by little, covered up the hurt i felt and kept up the facade.

by the time i got to my last child and only daughter that tried desperately to please me by going to meetings, studying, not saluting the flag a school, no holidays, birthdays, sneaking around to date, until then she never kept anything from me..........i realized i was losing all my children.

aint it grand when you can look back and just absolutely KNOW that your doing the right thing now. sure you thought you were doing what was best then......... but now you KNOW you are. im so happy for ya girl, and just a bit jealous lol. me personally i had a great relationship with my family............. untill i pulled my head out of the sand. now i have to question things........ because i have a better relationship with my "worldly" family now than i do my parents and sister.

thanksgiving before last i went and spent it with my 'worldly' family and had the most amazing time, found out how much fun we all used to have before my parents were hooked by the cult. i even got to see what the other family really thought of my parents, you know the stuff they would never show to us while we were all cult members. yeah your mom and dad used to be FUN lol.......... yeah untill they decided their family would be eaten by birds at armageddon lol. kinda takes the fun out of everything.

it has been mentioned a lot here lately that the wt needs to either mainstream or become more cultish.

if they decide to mainstream, here's another way to do it without pissing off the old timers too much.

it would also make a lot of people within the borg very, very happy.

yo jp what would that do to those of us who dont give a fk anymore........... would we get dfed.......... then automaticly reinstated after six mo............... at which time our jw family could talk to us........... then dfed again six months later............... then reinstated lol.

i gotta look at it like, if my fam gonna shun me for six mo they can keep onna truckin for the whole 12 lol

anyone ever have elders in their congregations who had tattoos? hehehehehe there were two in mine that i knew about, one had a gorilla smoking a cigar the other had an imp with a pitchfork................. i actually thought they were both cool as hell.

me personally............... still ink free as yet but who knows. i would definately keep it so that i could cover up and appear wholesome lol
