Re: Let's share the good memories from the org.
Ok here goes:
Well, thats all I got!
i got this idea from the thread about fun.
you know, today is different, i have some good memories from years ago, cake after bookstudys, kiddie parties, intermissions, mcdonalds for break at field service.
happy elders who would tease me as a little girl and carry me from door to door.

Frannie, know youre at work now, but wanted to thank you for the cinammon tip, I will definately try that, next time I suspect a stomach virus. Very good to know.
the set up
it was getting close to noon and elese decided to give her mother a call to let her know she was ready to be picked up.
sara said she had to stop by the kingdom hall to drop off some ice for the brothers doing the remodeling.
How horrible her mother must have made her feel, poor girl. That is just so sad. Hugs to Elise! You are a great father, keep on top of this, just like you have been. Your daughter is worth it.
i was speaking to a lady today who isnt a witness.
she's a very intellegent, well educated and well travelled girl, and she tells me how much she enjoys reading the watchtower and awake.
i said to her that she has to be joking, and she tells me that she she likes them a lot.
No way!
a by-product of being a genuis-type guy is the tendancy to read too much into every action, word or event in a relationship.
i have killed more than one relationship this way.
with the gf's giving me comments such as, "why can't i have a normal boyfriend?
I'm the over analyzer in my relationship.
I dont think it is gender specific though.
well i've spent a couple hours today getting my cameras ready.
which means cleaning them like a dentist with solutions, swabs, picks, fiberglass brushes, prayer *lol*, etc..they are going to be entered into the collectors competition at the state fair of texas in october.
i have three cameras, the max entry, all going back before the 1930's.
GOOD LUCK to you!

WOW! a round of applause, and a standing ovation for you. That was just excellent. The type of thing so many of us wish we could do, and say, and never get the gumption to just do it. These types of things need to be exposed more often, just like you did. Outstanding!
I also hope that your daughter didnt have to hear it from her mother, and that her lunch went ok.

Son is six years old, just about 7. As soon as he drinks his drink, he starts burping, and tooting, and giggling, and hes all better from there.
My dads father was a "yaqui" indian (you would never be able to tell by my picture, except for the black hair), we used to refer to him for fun, as the medicine man. He had alot of cures for things, I wish we would have written down. My dad is somewhat like him, in the early 80's, before all the naturepaths and homeopathic remedies were so popular, my dad used to make his own herbal pills. bought the herbs, crushed them, put them in geltain pills. I remember him giving me a spoonful of fenucreek (sp) seed, you had to eat the seed, then swallow it down with water. Think this one was for allergies, but cant remember for sure.

Oh yea, did anyone say warmed up (not hot) hydrogen peroxide for ear aches?
for those of you who are inclined toward sadomasochism, you might enjoy watching a very very very long video about this year?s district convention.
it is video of the setup, the baptism (more victims), the infamous drama with the demonized kid and many short interviews with jws at the convention.. one interview that stood out to me was of a teen who commented on how "nice" the small district convention is... she totally failed to connect the dots that the convention is small due to falling attendance and budget cuts.. something that stood out to me was the glaring absence of any talks.
maybe they know that the general public would find what is said to be very "cult like".. .
Notice the people being dunked, they really are just teenagers. Some of them are even younger than teenagers. Like someone mentioned in another thread recently, just the children of the already members.
