  a small question that haunted me as a jw was why did jehovah kill all the humans in the flood who had become depraved and violent but let the demons who ostensibly brought perversion and violence to the world go free to do it again after the flood?

  is this some kind of discrimination?

  Seville International Assembly

  at the end of july, one of the three international assembly was hold in seville, south of spain (the others were in madrid and barcelona) the organisators did not realise that in july and in august the whether in seville is extremely hot.

  what it worse, we have had the hotest days for the last 20 years during the assembly.

  the temperature reach more than 50o.

  Death - the downside of having friends...

  today i helped bury a friend, and in a few minutes i'll be leaving to attend the wake of another, who died yesterday.. i have less than a handful of friends from pre-exjw days (nothing new there - we're all in a similar boat, i'm sure), so my more recently acquired friends are precious to me.. for those that i count as friends (which obviously includes a number on this board), please let it be known that you are precious to me.. i've helped bury about six, during this last year (i hope that doesn't put anyone off from befriending me).

  every one has been like a hammerblow .

  regardless of beliefs, or lack thereof, death is still an enemy to the living and the dead (imho).. with that sombre note, i must away....

  How did you think your family would react?

  when you had compiled a mountain of evidence proving the wtbts to be a false prophet, blind guide, and definetly not the truth, what did you feel would happen when you presented this information to your dub family and friends?.

  i had compiled so much evidence it was overwhelming, i naively thought i would get my family all together and present it and they would say omg we've been lied to this can't be the truth.

  then i'd do the same to my dub friends.

  I had compiled so much evidence it was overwhelming, I naively thought I would get my family all together and present it and they would say OMG we've been lied to this can't be the truth. Then I'd do the same to my dub friends.

  What a shock!

  My wife took the dub high road and my best friend tightened his blindfold as well. Your being tested by Satan they said, at least I didn't get boils like Job...that's a good thing.

  Vicki Boer, Watchtower Society and Money

  i think the decision by the judge to force vicki to pay the society's legal fees even though she won the case is just fundamentally unfair.

  this lady was hurt by her father and the society obviously did something that at the very, very, least was not helpful in her case.

  it would seem to me that if the jws really are the christians they claim to be, that they would not be seeking to send this legal bill to someone who has already been through so much.

  i have some unique and troubling news.

  i just got off the telephone with scott boer, vicki boer's husband and before that vicki.

  her honour, justice anne molloy, has just ruled on the legal cost issue in the boer case.

  It is so difficult to make a stand and do the right thing when your punished for it...Vicki I'm so sorry, I can't believe the decision...I guess you had to figure the WT with their teams of lawyers knew what they were doing when they sued...dirty baskets.

  Just wanted to let you all know your posts touched my heart.

  I've been reading Breaking the Bonds and it explains so much about how we were led to believe and do the things we did(Elders included)

  As a dub you grow up being told people who are df'd deserved it, they were not repentent, they didn't love Jehovah...blah..blah..blah.

  Now I realize they were just human, people with for the most part just normal everyday problems or situations which a religious organization labelled as demonized or sinful conduct in order to control all aspect of their lives.

  I would like to ask anyone who I have shunned in the past..... please forgive me for alloowing myself to be a tool used by the WTBTS to punish you. I honestly believed it was the proper thing to do even though it hurt like hell to do it.

  I'M SORRY AND IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN
