What's the most ridiculous thing you were ever counselled on?
by micheal inone of the cornerstones of jw's is counsel.
they just love to give counsel and many times they will literally make things up just for the sake of counsel.
i was once counselled for joking around too much.

Judicial meeting because I held the child of a disfellowshipped couple at an assembly...
They were close friends before they got df'd and I hadn't seen them in years so when I saw them and heard they were working towards reinstatement I asked the grandparents who were not df'd to get the baby and I'd take him for a bit...they agreed and someone got a stiffy over it.....Unneccesary contact it was called and I was told I was being given private reproof.

I know two JW persons personally who was molested and three JW molestors.
I have been told by elders of four other cases or four different molestors and I was never told how many people were molested by them..I would assume at least one each.
JW's molested 6 (at least)
JW molestor's 7
I have been associated with 5 different congregations in Canada.

tell them while you can
by teejay inone day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.
then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.
it took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

Former Elders, a Question
by StinkyPantz ini have always been unclear as to why i was disfellowshipped.
i had my judicial meetings because i was dating a "worldly" guy.
i assume this because they never said i was "formally charged" with anything.

Sounds like you got a raw deal stinky...wish they would do the same for me......or maybe not...I guess its better to control your own destiny.
Amazing said
However, a decision to DF MUST be UNANIMOUS ... so even this excuse of an Elder who cried still went along with the other two in their decision.
I was told by an elder just recently that it had to be majority not unanimous..unless he was speaking of reinstatement.... -

Yet another example of how silly the Bible is...
by Abaddon inokay, let's go along with the flood story for a moment, to the point where noah exits the ark.. here we have noah, with two of each animal and seven of the clean animals; maybe a few dozen animals that were not essential to the future survival of the species.. what does god do?.
tells noah he can eat animals now.. are you telling me an all-wise, all-knowing god isn't capable of better planning than that?
which strikes you as more likely?

Very Good runningman..... I have discussed this with danceswithwolves and he believes in a waterworld....LOL
Your post made excellent sense! RM
Obiwan I think I saw Shamus catching some big air off of the anomoly in the picture you posted.
Abaddon....It never made sense to me that in a mere 120 years after the flood 8 people were able to have spawned entire nations and cities again to the point where Nimrod incited them to revolt and God had to step in again. Even if they got it on like rabbits it does not add up.

To Live 1,000 Years in JW Paradise
by Amazing inwould you really want to live in jw paradise?
armageddon has just ended ... the dust is settling ... you discover you are still alive ... and with that you see millions of dead bodies all about you (some big city like london, rome, paris) ... then you see a few others walking around ... you get up and rush to them to find out what they are doing ... they are fellow jws who survived armageddon, just like you .... .
more and more gather until there are a few hundred in your area.

outnfree.... can you e-mail them this quote and get them to share it with the Mother...If god can forgive a member of the annointed for taking blood then he'll forgive her too.
Most of the GB have probably had blood transfusions:
*** w58 8/1 p. 478 Questions from Readers ***
Questions from Readers
• One of Jehovah’s witnesses who claims to be of the anointed remnant recently went to the hospital and took a blood transfusion, voluntarily. Should she be allowed to partake of the emblems of bread and wine at Memorial time?—R. J., United States.
We, of course, regret with you that this sister who professes to be one of the anointed remnant took a blood transfusion voluntarily during her stay in the hospital. We believe that she did the wrong thing contrary to the will of God. However, congregations have never been instructed to disfellowship those who voluntarily take blood transfusions or approve them. We let the judgment of such violators of God’s law concerning the sacredness of blood remain with Jehovah, the Supreme Judge. The only thing that can be done in the cases of individuals like this is to view them as immature and therefore not capable of taking on certain responsibilities, hence refusing to make certain assignments of service to such ones.
Since an individual is not disfellowshiped because of having voluntarily taken a blood transfusion or having approved of a dear one’s accepting a blood transfusion, you have no right to bar this sister from the celebration of the Lord’s Evening Meal. As an anointed member of Christ’s body she is under orders and command by Christ Jesus to partake. Whether she is unfaithful as to what she professes to be by virtue of taking the emblems of the Lord’s Evening Meal is something for Jehovah God to determine himself. His judgment begins at the house of God. It is not for you or anyone serving the Memorial emblems to act as the judge, but to allow the emblems to go to anyone in the audience as these are passed along in the normal manner of letting each one have the opportunity to partake.
I'll e-mail it to them as well.
