many times my mum would struggle to get my sister and me on a bus to get to the kh when we were little kids, despite suffering from nerves herself, without dads help.

I can't imagine the pain and inner turmoil someone who is gay goes through while being a witness. Every meeting or almost every meeting the evils of homosexuality are used to condemn people and other religions. You had to sit through that and at the time live with the guilt that the WT heaped on you.

In the end you ended up being true to yourself and who you are,certainly not a chosen lifestyle it's who you are and who you have always been.

I bet a longer account of your Gay jw life would be a very interesting read with all the emotions and situations you dealt with.

Your mom sounds like she loves you too no matter what the WT says...gotta love that.

They found out we celebrated Christmas

i was told today that an elder in a nearby congregation has just told another elder in his congregation that he saw we celebrated christmas last year.

seems he was doing a job on our street (he's a window washer, like all good jw elders) and saw our decorations.. several things bother me about that.. 1. no one could have seen any of our decorations by driving by.

we had no lights outside.

how sorry i was to hear from dansk-he is going through a very difficult time.. i would like all prayers, thoughts, please keep this in mind ____ for me!!!!.

the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!

they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

A child's innocent questions about shunning

one night last week, my five year old daughter couldn't fall asleep.

we could hear her upstairs as she tossed and turned a bit, then finally reappeared from her bedroom and crept down the stairs.

Dallas On friday, what to do?

hi gang, i am trying to decide whether or not to just lay around the pool on friday morning and afternoon or do a walking tour of the downtown.

i believe if we hung around the hotel on friday we could be there to meet and greet those arriving.

we could always tour downtown dallas on saturday, however i heard that several of you are planning on saturday to be the pool day.
