  What Made You Finally Wake Up?

  hello to all.

  i've been on this site for a couple of weeks now posting here and there but have not had the opportunity to read about many of the regular members and what led up to their leaving the wt.. i understand that some of you (i'm part of this club) may not be able to disclose many details and i can appreciate that.. i'd love to hear what was it that finally made you renounce what is and hopefully soon to be "was" the wt.. i truly look forward to having good discussions.. thank you to all for your kind participation.. .

  Lies. Hypocrisy. Historical inaccuracy. Guilt. Lack of love.

  I go to a normal c of e church now and love it.

  When JW's say, "the farther we get from Adam..." to explain Autism, illness etc. is it just denial?

  i am so sick of hearing jw's blame everything from autism to hangnails on our proxemity to the existence of no-navel-man adam.

  they thereby betray their own lack of personal responsibility for their poor physical and mental health on adam.

  just maybe a little more work to afford a doctor visit once in a while wouldn't hurt?

  Oh it DOES my head in. What about cures for diseases? People died of simple viruses 60 years ago. Medicine has worked wonders.

  There are some seriously paranoid witness folk out there who blame all their ills on this system.

  Scientific explanation of how spirit creatures could materialize

  in my science class book i was just reading about particles and antiparticles.. i'll just quote a few parts, "every type of particle in nature must also have an alter ego, an antiparticle........one fascinating property of particle-antiparticles pairs is that if you bring such a pair together, the two particles will annihilate each other......when the pair annihilates, the mass of the two particles is converted into energy which is carried away by a pair of photons.....the reverse is also possible, two photons may collide to produce a particle and it's antiparticle-by a process called pair production.. so assuming spirit creatures are made of energy, there is a scientific explanation of how energy can become physical mass, and physical mass to energy.

  whether you believe they exist or not, i thought that was an interesting read and a way to explain how they could materialize and de-materialize.. .

  Two pet peeves of mine

  there are two things that just drive me crazy.

  one is that the art work in the watchtower is treated like they are actual still photo's taken thousands of years ago.

  your will hear comments about look at the smiles on their faces or the sadnees or happiness in their eyes, or notice the reaction of the crowd, etc.

  It's a Happy Anniversary.

  exactly a year ago today, i made my first post on jw net.. this then prompted me to disassociate from the jw cult and get my life back.. it's been a rollercoaster year but i can honestly say, after 12 months, i am in a much better place than i was a year ago.. it was the best thing i ever did.

  no regrets.

  life is hard but good too!!.

  Exactly a year ago today, I made my first post on JW Net.

  This then prompted me to disassociate from the JW Cult and get my life back.

  It's been a rollercoaster year but I can honestly say, after 12 months, I am in a MUCH better place than I was a year ago.

  It was the best thing I ever did. No regrets. Life is hard but good too!!

  I am now free of guilt and stupid-ass doctrines.

  Have corurage those who are thinking of leaving. There's a new world waiting for you.

  i have just had a radiology appt where i was told i had fibroids.

  great.. i had a mirena coil fitted 2 months ago to control heavy and prolonged periods, suffering for about 14 months.. i wonder what my gp will suggest now??.

  I have been so much less depressed and judgemental since leaving in Sept 2013. People have noticed it even.

  That place (KH) just turns you into a paranoid, depressed soul.
