i was always in the top of my class in school and participated in many afterschool activities.
it was the best experience of my life.
i was 19 at the time.
I really loved your story. It came from your heart. I loved that bit when you told the MS off about the Paradise thing, what a pompous little jerk.!!I hated all that sexism and little digs at the sisters too. I have a Degree from a UK university and had some great jobs and used to find it hard to listen to all the BS window cleaners/painters and decorators came out with!!!!I am surprised I never "lost" it with some of them.
I got married out of the truth and am SO glad my husband did'nt get baptised. He was an UnB Publisher for a while but he is way too clever to swallow all the WTS stuff. He is by nature, really inquisitive and has a BSc and a Masters degree. He only did it, I think, to support me.
I'd love to chat more. Message me when you have time and let me know how your Christmas plans are shaping up.
Love from Quelly XX
just saw this and thought i would pass it along .
its about a young jw who died.
because of jw blood policy.
I read in the Daily Mail (a UK newspaper), that the courts in this country were thinking of over ruling the blood issue with JW's. This is in the aftermath of a non-JW mother refusing cancer treatment for her toddler son. This was about a month ago. Has anyone heard anything to this effect here, or across the pond??
it was a meeting night last night.
i didn't go nor did i stay on jwn instead.
nugget gave me her time.
Hiya Kate. My thoughts are with you. You sound like you've had a rough time.
I started making Sunday's special. Plan a meal, a day out or a film you've wanted to see for a while. I always found Sunday afternoons lonely after the meeting but now I enjoy them, as I am in control. It will take a while. Great start about the swimming. Not in the sea, I hope!!!! I really love a good Sunday lunch, so maybe you can do that after. Ask your guests to bring a contribution. If I was local, I'd bring a nice bottle of wine.
As for midweek meetings....I honestly, used to find them a chore. Does'nt that sound awful?? I never felt better when I came back either (like they say you should)!!! I also LOVE reading. Not many JW's seem to read fiction....Cos it's bad, or has swear words, sex etc in it... That pretty much sums up most modern books though. Unless you like Jane Austen, yeugh!!! Just a few ideas anyway.
Have a great day on Sunday okay? Thinking of you. XX
my son and his mormon girlfriend went by to pick up his.
mom and her husband for a ride around town.
they drove.
I digress, I know but what kind of guy would the apostle Paul be if he was around now?? Would we warm to him? Think he was a nutter?? What would he talk about on the ministry and at public talks?
I personally think he may have had mental health issues. Lucid one minute, wacky the next.
i'm not an 'apostate' in the technical sense, but many of these questions did strike a chord:.
tell us a little about yourself and your family.. grandparents were contemporaries of russell.
one pair liked what they heard and were loosely associated with the bible students.
Nice experience. I was brought up in the truth until the mid-80's then my mom was DF'd for smoking. She came back in 2000, when I started studying again. It did feel cosy and lovely back the day. I used to love Twickenham as a child because it was like a mini-holiday for mom and me. I do feel it's changed and not for the better. There is less social stuff going on and that's tough for youngsters and smaller families.
i have gained the distinct impression that many pioneers are real free loaders.
the pioneer couple i used to study with always arranged (or re-arranged) the study to coincide with lunch.
they never once thought to bring a pack of cookies or something.
No, you are right. Not all pioneers are like this. This couple were an exception.

i know....i'm new to this set up.
apologies for being a dumbo.
I tell you what else I really noticed this year when I came back, after being inactive was the CONSTANT mention of apostate websites. Like I never heard before!! WHAT are the GB/WTS so scared of?? If the truth cannot stand up to scrutiny then what is the point. Surely these guys are living in a bubble. We all have access to the internet now, yet we are treated like we are in the Dark Ages. Like not to accept sweets from strangers etc... I cannot beleive they treat the flock with such little respect.

WHY do we have to stop talking to those who have been DA'd??? I left a job once and went to work for a competitor and I still used to socialise with my old colleagues. It does'nt seem fair that you are made to be a pariah when all you've done is be honest with yourself, the WTS and God.
I know....I'm new to this set up. Apologies for being a dumbo. X
the society are at it again.
witnesses at a local congregation are getting rid of old literature that predates the early 90's.
you can imagine why.
Hope it's not like burning the Koran. They could be in some serious s**t!!!!
