Shameless self-promotion...

i was hoping that there would be some discreet corner of this forum where members could post about their own little ventures - but there is none, so i'll just go down the route of brash, shameless self-promotion.. after the leaking of the judicial committee videos, which had a (some word i can't think of just yet) effect on me, and in the spirit of jeni lundblomvaldez's article over at aawa.co, ex-jws: stop respecting the watchtowers wishes, i have decided to start my own blog, the carpenter's arms.

the reason for the name will become apparent.. there is not much going on there at the moment - the doors have only just been thrown open - but feel free to come over and say hello.. .

in memorial talks - -if you have not dozed off by then--, a void occurs, when the speaker drops from the cup of the new covenant 'forgiveness of 'sins' to the small number of partakers, like explained in this week's 'study', pararaph 18: "-- jesus indicated that only those who will reign* in his heavenly kingdom are to partake.

* with him absent.. read luke 22:28-30.

"-- covenant with you for a kingdom-- you will eat and drink--in my kingdom--".

It's rather elitist. At "normal" churches, pretty much everyone gets communion.

The annointed brother, I knew at my ex-KH probably just wanted the Bread and Wine cos he was a pig. He must have also joined the Jdubs cos they were always having "spiritual feasts and banquets." Then he realised it was a theoretic "feast". He was too thick to join the priesthood when he was a Catholic.

Am I being nasty?

JW parents are CRAZY

hello again, for those who don't know me i'm a 15 year old boy.

and recently my mom is displaying symptoms of demensia, she left the stove on today and she yells at us for watching commercials on t.v that are "demonic" because today there was a commercial on television for the new 300 movie and she started yelling at my sister to turn it off, and then i was listening to coldplay as a playlist while doing my school work and she started yelling at me to turn the demonic music off.

she says "demonic" this "demonic" that.

My mum was the same.I was about 13.

What is / was the first thing(s) you looked forward to doing once you were out for good?

one of the things that keeps me going is thinking about the things my family and i will be able to do once we are all out, together, and free at last.

(and we will be out together, i'm staying positive!).

i soooo look forward to christmas.

I ALSO love Christmas and did secretly celebrate it, as my hubby wasn't a jw.I hated to marginalize my son as well.

I enjoy politics and current affairs.Like a good debate, so chatting about stuff like that at the KH is a no no.

Hope your exit comes quickly, in time for Xmas 2014.

every subject under the sun can be, and is discussed here .freedom of expression .did we have that in wt land ?

no way...control,control,control.. you can rant , vent , rave , all you like here , and get a consoling reply from someone who has gone through a similar experience to you , from the most distant part of the earth , even australia lol .. we may not always agree with what a poster has said , but we respect the right of the poster to say it .. smiddy.

Ran into an old JW friend at a club and....

it's been 1 year since my fade and exit from wts land... i wsa at a club last night and ran into an old female jw friend... has been at least 2 years since i last saw her...said hi to her from far away, but she ignored me awkwardly...then she comes up to me, and tells me she's been df'd... i was like no worries, i left the borg and i'm so much happier now.

i told her i won't judge her...she smiled and told me she's gonna try the life outside jw land.

a couple of drinks later, we started dancing...one thing led to another, and i took her to my apartment and had the most amazing sex.. .
