I need some advice
by freein89 ini am 47 and my parents are 73 and 78. my mom is such a hateful woman, out of 6 kids, i am the only one that even bothers with them, i call every week and have visited them often in arizona (i live in wisconsin) anyway i recently had an argument with my mom.
she insists on using the "n" word and my step-granddaughter is of mixed race.
even before that i hated that word.

I live in central Florida, have lived in Virginia for years, and other spots in Florida where the use of the 'N' word is still considered acceptable dialogue by Bubba and Bubbarette, as well as black on black horsing around and argumentative dialogue (truly a shame). I took care of my folks until they passed over (both in their 80's) and I tried to overlook all of their idiosyncratic behavior, though often spoke my mind and preferences. Seeing "they have no one else" you are who they have - love covers a multitude of sins, just keep on loving them regardless, and in that comes the reward of learning true agape. When they pass over, there'll be no need for words like "I wish", "if only", "I regret." Love is the greatest gift one can share in this world. Keep on loving them and share the fruitages of the Spirit with them. I know it's tough, but you'll reap the rewards as well.

Noumenon-
In the Garden, man and woman realized their nakedness, so they covered themselves. God decided that the covering was insufficient/not of His design so He caused the first animal sacrifice and gave the couple animal skins. For years the Mosaic law required blood sacrifices, and then comes along the Messiah. His blood was for all time, and for all who believe in it, and partake of it (communion). In this world, full of mean men and women who are called theologians and commoners posing as religious hucksters there is no way for the majority to get a fair shake (just look at the Witness experience). Therefore, we have NO idea of what God's mercy is and how it works. The judgement spiels are for those unaware of the "Everlasting compassion" of God. I gave up the judge's robes, maybe more of us should - heck, the earth would be a far more harmonious and beautiful place.

Sandy-
I had the same thoughts as XJW_B12, which he mentioned, when I read your post. I think the idea of a counselor is a wise one, especially if you believe that there is the possibility this will bounce together, apart, and together again. It's always good to put everything out into the Cosmos with a non-partial facilitator present. Those words said (both of yours) are heard loud and clear long after the visit(s).
peace and blessings,

There are many closet Jerry fans... I believe that one or two segments of Jerry a month, 5 minutes of WWWF, and 10 minutes of Anna Nicole would keep many folks off the pills, the shrink couches, and the scotch bottles. Too many people take it all much too seriously, hell after Eden we were screwed as a race - face it, and get the beads.

Excellent! When Jerry is filibustering in Washington far from Lake Michigan you can carry on the tradition with Steve. I have been worried, but now I can sleep nights.

Double Edge, every ten years the WT will feature an article on the Waldenses, pointing to them as a group of likely candidates, and others (to be met later) who carried on "the Faith."

i'm using up one of my precious two daily topics to post this, so you'd darn well better read it!
i am hereby proposing a moratorium on all mentions of the flip-flopping on sodom and gomorrah.
