by punkofnice ina young jw i used to know (nice person), said within earshot to a non df'd ex jw he knew that his "..parents are up and down in the relationship and the elders(tm) are going to help.".

Awake January 2015: How did life begin? - More misquotes
by Designer Stubble in
some might assume that a scientifically-minded person would pick evolution and that a religious person would pick creation.
but not always.. rama singh, professor of biology at canadas mcmaster university, says: the opposition to evolution goes beyond religious fundamentalism and includes a great many people from educated sections of the population.
.
end-of-quote in awake.

one last step..Is being mentally out the same as being emotionally out?
by MissFit inwe talk here about the importance of being mentally and physically out to be really free.. what about being emotionally free?.
i realized for me, i had to be emotionally awake first.
i had been yo-young back and forth for years.

I am a born in and have been out more if my adult life then I have been in. Emotionally however as long as I have brothers and sisters and parents in, my behavior is modified at least around them, even though they all know where I stand. As far as the elders, I could give a rats behind what they say or think about me. I will never agree to any meeting with them and it has been made abundantly clear that they are not welcome at my home.
