Apparently Jephthah's daughter was not only obedient but also not too bright. She kept going on about her virginity as if that would be the result of her father's vow not her death! Stupid girl.

Bible Translation Shenanigans

the bible clearly and unmistakably teaches that the lord jesus christ is jehovah god.

the cult known as "jehovah witnesses" deny that jesus is jehovah, thus revealing that they are anti-christ.. not only have the "jehovah witnesses" tampered with the context of hundreds of scriptures, but now they have brazenly moved into the bible translation field.. their reason for doing this?

Why do Christians throw around the accusation of anti-christ? It only shows their small mindedness. It's a stupid accusation since it does not agree with scripture thereby throwing Green's opinion into the toilet. Faithful in small things.....

Green does not use the term as it is used in Bible:

2John 1:7-8 "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward"

But that's not the first error. The first error was the writer of 2John when he went beyond what Christ's early disciples said about Jesus. Here is the error:

2John 1:9-11 "Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds."

This late writer did not himself abide in Christ's teachings. First, Jesus did not shun, he ate and drank with sinners. Second, according to Christ's disciples Jesus said, "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come." (Matthew 12:32) Third, it is this kind of filth in the NT that has granted power to the JW leadership and many other Christian leaders.

Prepare for meetings??

do you prepare for meetings?

if i go i spend a few minutes underlinging my books/watchtower.. i have noticed that those who do the micks especially notice when your stuff is not underlined, and comments are made after the meeting, not so gentle hints, about study and preperation!

in other words i am being told off, its usually the ones who are highly critical of everything i do, sometimes their whole family seems to be straining to see if my stuff is underlined, i know this because i heard the daughter to family wisper her watchtower is not underlined!.

I don't prepare for meetings. Nothing is underlined. I do not comment. I do not go door to door but I do report time.

My contribution to the congregation is to occupy a seat which in my book is more than enough.

do you ever wonder if the watchtower writers actually read the context of their key scriptures?.

they seem intent on perpetuating the idea that the jewish law was divine - perfect.. paragraph two asks the question "what would prompt an israelite slave to forfeit his opportunity.

to be free?".

If you become a Witness and later decide to leave your Master, the Watchtower, they will attempt to KEEP YOUR SPOUSE AND CHILDREN forcing to you to choose!

Believing that the leaders of any Christian religion today are led by God and as result should be obeyed in all things is crap, yes.

But most Christian religions today are not like the Watchtower which worships CONTROL even more that God.

Christmas presents

i like a lot about christmas, lights, music, smells, food.

i like the idea of lots of presents, too, but i totally don't like the idea enforced by advertising that all of us must spend loads of money buying gifts for everyone we know.

and i think that gifts for adults should be consumable, a bottle of wine, candy, that sort of thing, a token of friendship, a little treat, but nothing grand.. so, i've made about four dozen jars of jam from wild grapes i picked in the fall, and i'm going to make lots of cranberry bread and pumpkin bread.

Not too long ago it was a Christmas present, one as you give, that started a hairline crack on this JW hard boiled egg.

Every Christmas season an elderly neighbor would bake raisin/nut cakes and cookies, and personally bring an assortment to each of her neighbors. She, with a kindly smile on her face, would hand the goodies to me and wish me a Merry Christmas. I, on the other hand, did not wish her a Merry Christmas but I smiled back and thanked her for her kindness and kept it in mind all year long...waving when I saw her and attending a ladies lunch along with her.

She has passed but her kindness every Christmas season has not passed. I hope your efforts to spread some cheer to others are just as successful and rewarding to both you and those who receive your loving kindness.

I see, so mankind shits in his own home and on his children and you ask what the angels are doing to stop him? Maybe they're looking away in DISGUST!

Placing blame on others for our own manmade troubles is a darn sorry emotion.

But I get it, you don't believe in angels and so find it good to complain about entities you do not believe in.

in ancient times , o.t.speak, god dealt with humans in a variety of ways , dreams ,visions ,prophets,and prophetesses , then apparently 2000 years ago he must have said, i`m not doing this anymore.they , my followers will just have to beleive and put faith in what has been written down up untill the 20th century of the common era.

approximately 4000 years of human history where god has communicated with humans .

if you beleive that .. their has been no communication between god , with any human , whether by dreams , visions , or prophets , for the past 2000 years.. and may i add, their has been no communication from jesus during these past 2000 years either, giving us enlightend /updates about his sayings /prophecys that he gave while on earth 2000 years ago.. please explain.. smiddy.

Personal rules I live by when talking to Christians

as a former witnesses, i have spoken to tons and tons of christians since my exit.

some want to convert me to their faith, heal me of what they see as false information in my youth and so on.

when ever i speak to them, not being a christian now, i have certain things that guide me.
