Tula, are you aware of the definition of "hypothetical?" or are you going to try to continue your witchhunt here too?

Believing Everything Someone Tells You
by minimus inare you the type of person that believes everything a person says?.
typically, my radar goes up, especially if a person either brags about all his or her accomplishments or tells you a sob story about how awful their life is.. i was reading here today about how some posters have been upset with others for either feeling someone is fraudulent or is uncaring or caring too much.. the funny thing is that most of us never really know who or what a person/poster is all about.
they could be perfectly upfront and tell you everything in a most truthful way or they could be conning you.

Thanks for the Cliff's Notes Mr Flipper. I just want to add that my husband used Hassan's information to get me out of the WT. It did not feel like an intervention. In fact it was subtle enough so it felt quite like I discovered things all on my own. :) He started in on a Saturday when we were out at the farmer's market, having a casual conversation, and by the following Thursday night I had a copy of Crisis of Conscience in my hot little soon-to-be-apostate hands. LMAO!

You know what? Do it. If she says yes, you'll never trust her, I suppose that will be payback enough, hehe.

... or in a year or two when the next "hero" comes along and she dumps HIM because she found a new one.

Ah, so you're hoping to "save" her from some sort of imagined situation where she is engaged to a guy she doesn't love. Right. That's not delusional.

Would you want a woman who would be so disloyal as to dump her fiance and go be with you, the minute you tell her how you feel?

Okay, here is my opinion. This is the internet. What is more, this is a discussion board, for exiting and ex jws who may have some genuine need to maintain privacy and anonymity. This recent climate of demanding that people PROVE their identity and reveal themselves is rotten, potentially damaging and just plain bad netiquette. Not to mention similar to the witchhunts seen in the WT where everyone is ready to turn everyone else in.
Frequent Flier: I demand proof of your identity. Please tell me who you have met, who can vouch for your identity an your location. You need to show proof from your pre-DB life that you really are who you say you are. A copy of your driver's license and references from your current employer will be sufficient. Otherwise, I am forced to think you are a troll, only here to lie and deceive us, and your recent attacks on Cognac are purely obfuscation so that nobody will question YOUR story. Which I'm certain is full of lies, since you haven't provided any REAL proof...

What the hell is the matter with you FFM, what do you want? A blood test and urinalysis? Come to think of it, I haven't seen any proof of YOUR identity, so put up or shut up. Plus I highly doubt you are from Trinidad, so you're a liar. *rolls eyes until they pop out over the hypocrisy of some of the hall monitors*

Ha! I've posted this before, but in one of our last bookstudies we attended, the conductor remarked: "If you don't comment at the bookstudy, you are pleasing Satan." Ha! My husband and I just looked at each other like: did he REALLY just say that?
Once, my brother, from the platform, announced that the only place you can receive holy spirit is in the Kingdom Hall. When I pointed out to him (after the meeting) the illogic of that statement, he told me I shouldn't correct the elders. LMAO! I told him he was my little brother first, then an elder. (fortunately, not only is he no longer an elder but he's not quite that, um... "illogical" anymore either.)
