It's not a lie, there really is a Santa Clause. He is you, me, and everyone else who has a caring and sharing heart.
Many of the Bible Stories Book that the Watchtower publishes are embellished.Are they little white lies or do they damage lives?
History tells us that a mister Clause, a good-hearted man actually lived.
St. Nick is very real.
Children need heroes, from ET to Superman to Santa Clause.

When You Were A JW Did You Prefer A Body of Elders or 1 Presiding Overseer?

when i was growing up, we had 2 different men that held that position in the years i was in the hall.

We had one Presiding Overseer who was one of 144,000. He liked my family and would buy the children ice cream out in field service. We were invited to his room for drinks, and hung out with other annointed members, had dinner with them etc. We were new and gullible and in the early 70's it was fun and outings, picnics, games etc. Our Kingdom Hall was in the World Headquarters, hence The Governing Body was more visible and real to us at the time.
That went away ( Gone With The Wind ) when the Body of Elders became the focus in our congregation.

Blood Issue took my mom last night
by rwagoner inafter years of fighting a physical disability that ended in kidney failure and several bouts of respiratory/cardiac arrestmy mom landed in the hospital last week.
the doc's said she needed heart surgery and kidney transplants but before they could operate they need to get her blood count back up.
it had fallen well below what her body could naturally restore on its own she she needed transfusions.

Flipper, you did good. She is still held captive to a concept. The organization is God's only true organization appointed by Jesus who in turn has appointed his faithful and discreet slave over all his belongings way back in 1919!
The Governing Body is still using that date and repeating it over and over in the minds of the rank and file.
So again, her mind is held captive to this concept.
Only a true history study ( not a Bible study ) of the society back in those days will free the mind of this concept.

Not always. It happened gradually. Things started to add up and not add up. Then there was the straw that broke the camel's back! That straw led to many more straws that led to stepping down as an elder and doing the fade then moving out of state. It took about one year to start the fade.

announcement at service meeting last night
by isaacaustin inlast nite at my parents service meeting an announcement was made regarding the new triple meeting.
they said that no one can go over their allotted time at all during the tms.
if the bell rings you are to stop immediately- not even finishing your sentence.

Beginning talk, Here's the thing, budda bing! budda bang! Get it, no,even though I talk with my hands, see the school overseer after the meeting on yours and his own time for the application to you. The only why he can explain it ot you is if he is or was a wiseguy.
I finished up short, I gave the next speaker some of my time.
What happens if you don't use the alloted time and say do a 5 min. part in 4 mins.
