Pink Floyd reformed and playing at the London Live 8 concert
by jimakazi inmy all time favorite band pink floyd has reformed - with roger waters too - for the live 8 concert.. as a teenage i used to chill out to the floyd.
the song "comfortably numb" somehow resonates with me.
anyway live 8 starts in an hour or so [1 am nz] and i'll be up all night enjoying it.

I placed seven books should I report??????
by imfreeimfree inbearing in mind i do not attend meetings, and theyve stopped calling to get the "report" i will not be able to give them the good news.

I loaned my copies of Crisis of conscience and In search of Christian freedom to a young brother who was having some very serious douts about the Org. The next thing I hear...He's joined the navy! Never saw him or the books again. Your idea of donating Cof C to libraries is good. Maybe put a sticker or note on the inside directing people to this web site and others.

that there was no love being shown in the congregations & even toward me on how they were dealing with the whole situation & towards my mother.

if you had to apportion liabilities and punishment for this tremendous amount of evil how would you do it among their hierarchy ranks from gb to cos to elders?

I'm leaving on Monday...

Jehovah's Witness hope, does it remove the sting of death?
by free2beme inrecently i was speaking to my witness sister, and the topic of someone dying in her husband's family came up.
she mentioned that her husband (a non-witness) has a hard time with death and will not even go back to his grandparents property, 20 years after their death, as he does not do well with the memories and death itself.
my sister made the statement, "i explained to him that i hoped one day i could help him come to terms with death, by learning what it really is and the hope in store.

I think the sting of death is greater for some witnesses because many (like me) were told we were never ever going to grow old and die in this system, and yet we are getting to that age when we are seeing our peers dying...ouch.

Gary, I'm sorry that witnesses have been mean to you and your family, I'm sure most of us have felt that too. Witnesses are mean because the Org. fills them with the idea that the loving God they claim to worship is going to do the meanest thing ever... kill off just about everyone on the planet...and if you don't believe that you are worldly or a bad associate and deserve to die too. Nothing really good can come out of this bad religion. Forget the smiling faces and the pretty pictures they're just whitewashed graves...
