Thiis has always bothered me tooand the society has never issued anything that resembles an apology to the families of those who died..The Watchtower and Gov Body are drenched with the blood of those who trusted them.

What really bothers me about my JW research.
by ithinkisee insome of you may know, but i have been on a serious journey through watchtower "theology", and by association, have gone back all through the history of christianity.
i know many on this list have gone thru the same thing.
i have checked out probably 100 archeological, religious, and history books from the library.

It's encouraging and heartbreaking too...encouraging that more are seeing the real WT and leaving but heartbreaking that the ORG is so cruel and cold hearted towards those who leave, and those who are left behind. There's no way JW's represent a real christ like attitude.

No Clapping at Wild Statements at DC????!!!!
by hamsterbait ini just read a post that said the audience was not obediently clapping at the convention when the speakers made wild statements (presumably with the rising nazi voice).
did anyone else notice this.. will others look out for it at their dc and tell us?.

I remember when I was about 10 years old being at a circuit assembly ...after the public talk, during the applause, another kid and I whistled really loud. it didn't last long...Whack, whack,whack...it still makes me laugh though

One witness told me "a 1000 years with god is as 1 day, so the end could be anytime" ...no wonder they're having problems, even the faithful WT dubs dont know. One things for sure, soon won't be soon enough for the gt. crowd of today that never expected to die.

DC 2005
by zack init was stressed time and again how the fds in the body of the gb are to be obeyed.
a speaker said the fds only gives suggestions/direction/guidance.
three minutes later he's saying that if we don't heed the "suggestions" offered by the gb, it is tantamount to disobeying almighty god.

The WT is like a lot of tin-pot blowhard dictators...do as I say or else...disobey me and you're disobeying The almighty himself...and, we'll make you suffer unless you toe the line...yea right...people are getting tired of constantly hearing this junk. It's all about control, if they can't control people they're out of business. Sure they have pretty pictures, they've had them for years, but where's paradise? Why are people who weren't supposed to die (by WT reckoning) dying off now?

Yes I'd help them in an emergency situation. No I would not help them get a job.Why? Because I wouldn't want to work with one, especially the "preaching all the time" kind and I wouldn't want to inflict that upon anyone else either.

The point was made somewhere earlier that the non-annointed witnesses that have come in over the past decades all expected to go into the new system without dying...well look what's happening, they ARE dying and paradise has,it seems, been postponed...again. No wonder people are murmering and questioning...the Borgs knee-jerk response is to tighten things up, threaten and cajole everyone into line and tell all that you can't live without them. By the way is that a Bible based teaching?
