political threads seem to be the one which generate the most vitriolic arguments on this board.

please stay away from arguments in this thread.. i'd like to know what type of political philosophy you enodorse, not just some results from an on-line test.

furthermore, i'd like to know why you feel the way you do and what criticisms could be laid against your philosophy.

Mostly (90%+) Libertarian as defined by expatbrit but within the framework of the U.S. Constitution. Am really anti drug advocate but think states should decide what they will allow within their borders even if I do not personally agree.

Think EVERY American in the military should be brought home. Their job should be to defend our country and us. I don't give a rats a.... about the military being peacekeepers anywhere else or social workers for the world or the world's free labor when some country needs to rebuild their country-i.e. Iraq. We freed them let them rebuild it themselves, and if they choose to live in a pig sty country, so be it. Most of the countries in the world have been around about a thousand years longer than us, if they haven't got it together by now I doubt if they ever will. If we want to supply countries with free social workers then draft them and send them there to screw up whatever they are good at screwing up. Other countries need free labor- send convicts for the rest of their sentence with the promise that the host country keep them after they have finished their sentence.

Get out of the UN. It is one of the biggest waste of taxpayers money (my money). They are one of the most useless organizations around except for emergency humanitarian needs.

I once wrote to the Smithsonian Institute in D.C.(about 5 years ago) and asked them to supply me with some info regarding extinct species. It took about a week for them to send me a packet of info with the numbers I was looking for. I asked them for an estimate for the number of species that became extinct BEFORE humans were around if you use the evolutionists figure of @ one million years. They replied that the scientists they consulted agreed on the figures ranging from 10 billion to 100 billion extinct species before we ever showed up. Now I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out that that's a LOT of extinct animals and creepy crawly things who withered away for one reason or another without any interference from us. Do you really think that NATURAL extinction abruptly stopped when humans arrived on the scene and that all extinction thereafter could only be attributed to human after we got here? Species will always become extinct with or without us being around. I think human impact on the environment is vastly over rated. Anyone who watches TLC or Discovery channels gets an inkling of how little we matter without even realizing it. Ever see the deep ocean series where all of those giant worms and gazillions of other animals live around those belching volcanic vents on the ocean floor, living off of the chemicals and gasses being pumped out of those vents? Ever REALLY listen to their conservative estimates of how many TRILLIONS of tons of stuff are pumped out of those vents every year? Where do you think that stuff goes? Gasses especially. Gas rises in water and eventually breaks out into the atmosphere wher it continues to rise- all of those things like hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, methane, carbon dioxide, etc. Most of it is absorbed in the water but if only 10% makes it to the top to disperse in the air that still a HUGE amount of gas that we have no control over. Multiply this by a hundred other things we have no control over and you start to realize that we puny humans control and contribute very little to the natural world around us. Environmentalism is vastly over rated. And our impact on the world is hysterically magnified beyond all reason by those who would prefer the extinction of the human species.

I have this book and enjoy lending it to my friends. They inevitably buy one of their own. It's a really neat little book- fits perfectly in my purse. I especially like the mathematics involved in some of the commentary. I also have "Biotech-The Sorcerer's New Apprentice", "The 7th Day", "Stretching the Heavens", "In the Beginning There was...Information", and "Signs in the Heavens" among others. I have not bought one thing from him that I don't like. My co-workers and friends are constantly borrowing his material. I have to keep a list of who has what so it doesn't get lost. I just really enjoy his perspective and commentary on biblical issues and passages.

He is not some kind of cult leader. I have never gotten any kind of communication requesting money, donations, etc. In fact, the only time I ever have contact with him is when I email questions and he or one of his staff replies. I have been getting his stuff for about 3-4 years now and have never gotten any kind of unrequested material. He doesn't work that way. He loves sharing God's word and makes reading and studying the scriptures enjoyable. No meetings, no schedules, no rules, no dress codes, no "you have to belong to my or any church to get saved". You read and study the bible at your own convenience and in your own home or with your own friends. He NEVER says that you HAVE to believe in a particular thing- he treats his readers as adults and let's them make up their own minds about what they believe and accept.

Robertson is a lot more moderate than I am. Got up and cheered in the theater when I saw "Independence Day" for the first time and D.C. got obliterated by the aliens. If I had a to choose which Americans HAD to die in a terrorist attack I'd choose capitol hill in a new york minute. I couldn't think of a better way to get rid of 535 blood and life sucking parasites in a single flash. Then we could start over with a few new rules.

1.Term limits; no pensions paid for by the little people-you want a gazillion dollar pension, put your own money into it.

2.No lobbying for foreign countries-ever! You're an American or you are not.

3.No income tax-EVER! EVER! EVER! Reimpose import tariffs on ALL goods not made in the good ole USA. NO IRS OR OTHER GESTAPO-LIKE AGENCY could ever be authorized or enacted by congress EVER, EVER,EVER!

4.All lawmakers would have to live in gov. supplied housing (projects) dedicated for their use, while congress was in session; no more near freebies like subsidized hair cuts, subsidized club memberships, etc

5.Any politician caught accepting ANY type of gratuity from any company, labor union, or lobbying group, or SIG would immediately loose their seat in congress and go directly to jail and forbidden to EVER hold elective or appointed office ever again.

6.Public airwave licenses would require ,that for 6 months prior to an election, ALL tv, radio stations and whatever is invented in the future (along the lines of mass info,news, entertainment,etc) dedicate 10 hours monthly in prime time(cost free) to debates that would include ALL candidates who could get the top 10 vote shares from ALL legally qualified candidates in a national primary 2 months before the official election period of 6 months.

7. People could donate however much they wanted to whatever candidate they choose. Just people who are registered to vote. Not registered-not allowed to donate. Lists of donors and the amounts donated would be published weekly.Jail time for all who violate this.

8.No corporate, union, special interest group donations allowed. Any politician caught accepting donations from these prohibited groups would be prohibited from ever holding any type of public office ever again.And he would lose whatever position he held at the time of the discovery and receive a jail sentence as would the chief executives of the forbidden groups..

9.Only non lawyers could hold public office and any law must be written to be understood by the average high school graduate. No committees or subcommittees could ever be formed by congress. Each and every law would be fully read in it's entirety in congress before being voted on.

10.No subsidies could ever be paid to any business, corp., union, farmer, food conglomerate or any trade group for any reason other than a national crisis which would require a favorable vote from 75% of congress to pass.

11. Any company, hospital corp, business sig, union ,etc. caught stealing from or cheating the gov in contracts would be prohibited from ever holding any type of gov contract in the future. All of the chief execs of those entities would go to jail and be forever barred from ever holding or getting a gov contract ever again, even if it was in a different entity under a different name.

12. No law could ever be passed that would steal from young people to pay for old peoples benefits. NO more social security, old age benefits, etc. Each person would be required to open their own IRA and save for their own future. disability insurance would also be required to be paid out of that IRA account.

13. No welfare for anyone for longer than 1 year except for the severly handicapped, severly disabled at a young age or severly retarded whose every need would be supplied by the gov thru a special welfare dept dedicated to them. Everyone else would be required to work to support themselves and their children.God help derelict or run away parents because the FBI would be required to hunt them down like serial killers. Those unwilling to support the children they brought into this world (verified by DNA testing) would be put to death. No exceptions. You can't keep your legs crossed or your zippers up, you pay the ultimate penalty.

BTW, I am a 58 year old divorced female who has worked all of my life and supported my children on my own. The older I get the more I hate gov.

I get a lot of Missler's stuff. Like it a lot; don't agree 100% but you'll never agree 100% with anyone. He is extremely intelligent, very well educated, and the Bible is his hobby and the love of his life since he has retired. He certainly gives a different perspective on a lot of scripture, especially inclined to the scientific side. Has his own small non-denominational church in Idaho but travels around the country giving biblical based lectures. Never believed in the rapture until I got his video and printed material. He explained everything in great detail constantly referencing the bible.Proved to me what I thought was never possible being an ex JW (who was raised a Catholic). Everything about the rapture became perfectly clear to me once I understood the customs and meaning of a Jewish betrothal and wedding. Always saw these particular bible passage references but never understood what they meant.

I'm going thru his trinity stuff now and have come to believe that Jesus is indeed God and that the Holy Spirit is a part of Them. Maybe not THE traditional way of belief in the trinity but much more than I thought I'd ever admit to believing. All proven by biblical passages (in ANY translation).

He is a big supporter and cheerleader for small non-denominational churches and small groups of just everyday people getting together and studying the bible, just like in the early days of the christian religion. Says large old denominations are too filled with traditions, legalism, etc. that turn people off to God and tend to accrue power (and wealth-my opinion) to themselves.

Anyway, I like him a lot, but that's my taste.

What you are witnessing/experiencing is the United Nations and global environmentalists plan to relegate humans to the trash heap of history by "restoring" the Godess Nature and Mother Earth to the pristine purity it "knew" before human beings contaminated the world with their filthy presence. In America it is called the Wildlands Project and is being implemented incrementally thru the National Park system and federal confiscation and nationalization of land. There are wonderful ceremonies put on by our national leaders, senators, reps, prezes, etc every time they confiscate more land and dedicate it to National Park system. Roads are being torn up in the National Parks so that human contamination and impact on "natural" species is minimal or absent. Of course the NPS can't maintain what they have so our parks are poorly maintained but they (the gov) continue to gobble up more and more land.The eco-nazi's love and encourage this because they think that land is too "holy" to be privately owned. Private land ownership is an impedimant to their goal of a "wild" America untouched by human habitation where animals roam free and humans are sequestered into "islands" of human habitation. Of course the public, mostly who live in cities, love the concept and could not care less if someone's property is taken because they are smugly stacked like sardines in the cities. Citified people are too stupid and uncaring to think any farther than the tip of their tongue. What is happening is unimportant to them until THEY can no longer buy cheap (or any) food because cattle can't be grazed (all of the grazing land will be locked up in untouchable wildlife perserves), and food can't be grown because there is no longer any farm land. Gasoline is getting expensive and will be even more so as more and more land is deemed undrillable.

I don't know what plans the eco-nazi's have for your land but the GLOBAL plan is being implemented thru the many environmental orgs associated with the UN called NGO's. These unelected elitist self annointed KINGS have no one to answer to and our ELECTED reps are too scared of the VERY rich and VERY powerful eco-nazi lobby to oppose them.

If you doubt what I am saying just type Wildlands Project into any search engine on the web. They are very open about their plans for the USA and the world because they know that most people don't care what happens to OTHER people's property or way of life just as long as they can "do their thing".

I don't care why they donated them. The fact that those instruments are available to help other people is what is important, I think. Many people will benefit from what the JW's have done. This is one time when their self interest clearly helps others. That doesn't happen every day, since the WTBTS likes to keep it's "good deeds" limited to their own little group, for the most part.
