LittleToe: Do you really just not get the idea of a "Discussion" board?

At present, Schizm sees only a hazy outline as if a reflection in a metal mirror...

schizm, when you state opinions and beliefs as fact you invite criticism. I've been a JW for over 30 years and know the way the WTBTS demonizes other religious groups. They are good at handing out criticism but not to good about receiving it.-- FairMind.

The truth of the matter is that you never really were a JW in the first place, you merely had to waste 30 years of your life before you came to that realization. But you don't need to go feeling like you're all alone, because there are plenty of people just like you. Neither are you a fair-minded individual, which makes your screen name somewhat of a farce. If you were fair-minded then you wouldn't have made made the ridiculous claim that I've highlighted in yellow.

Now, perhaps you might wish to go nip on someone else's heels. You're all bark and not much of a real bite, proven by the fact that you prefer to attack me rather than what I've said. You're much to small to be messing around with someone of my stature, and you apparently know that or otherwise you'd have addressed something that I've said.

Poor poor confused butthead Schizm. Defending an Organisation he claims is the sole group on the planet pleasing god and who does the things god really wants while all the rest fail. He does this, yet sees the flaws and ADMITS the flaws....and even changes doctrine to his liking contrary to the only group who pleases god.

That makes you a bastard Schizm.....an illigitamite son of an organisation that doesn't want you because you defy some of their doctrines. Your like a prodigal son to them who do not want you returning till you accept the wondorous 1914 date or die in your sins. Your like a mule....sterile. Your on the outside lookin in with no people of like faith who wants to share your thoughts. Poor bastard.

My response would be "can one be saved outside of the organization?" The statement that only Jehovah knows implies that one can be saved outside of the organization. It says that it isn't necessarily true that only dubs will be saved.

I agree. It is worded in such a way that PERHAPS people outside the org might receive Jah's mercy. But that seems to be in conflict with the idea promoted that not all JWs will be saved; some won't have enough faith or manifest it properly. It's really a mess. Just what exactly do JWs believe? What is their message in the life-saving preaching work? Specifically? As we approach year 2006 and baby-boomers are nearing retirement the great hopes from the WT c. 1966-1994 are now dying a quick death. There has to be at least one-third of JWs that question whether their religion is really making a difference in the world and if the entire Bible is talking about an anointed remnant class with its silly Elijah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah etc. class and a Jonadab "other sheep: class. Most JWs that are JWs have come in during the last 20 years, many studying the Live Forever book. That book, the 2nd edition anyway, was the org's last gasp. They put out the Reasoning book but that was just regurgitation and for internal use, as new JWs wouldn't understand all the finer points of the faith. This religion needs a complete overhaul, and not a paperback edition but a hard[core] reformation.

Schizm, I only nip at the heels of my betters. So, no, I am not nipping at your heels. However, since you have deigned to comment directly to me, I will take the opportunity to ask you a direct question:

If you know your views are contrary to the Bible as taught by Jehovah's Witnesses and you know Jehovah's Witnesses say that make you an apostate, why do you refuse to admit being what they believe you are?

You can consider this a rhetorical question if you like. When you answer that one for yourself, then you will know why others here find it ironic that you assert your opinions of us as incontrovertible fact and label us so freely. What you said to fairchild applies equally to you. You seem too obtuse to recognize it.

    Gumby,

For what reason do you continue to sidestep my response to your topic? Yes, you replied to me again, but the contents of your post had nothing to do with the topic that you yourself started. Rather than address the points that I brought up, which were "on topic," you repeatedly choose to attack my personage instead.

What's the matter, Gumby, can't defend your silly topic?

    AuldSoul...as always

Schizms like alot of other dubs who somehow in their own minds ( even though it's contrary to the group they defend).....still believe that if they continue to support and follow them ( except where they disagree or cannot participate in activities of the group) , their god will spare them because their hearts were really pure, although they couldn't fully follow 100% of their organisations demands.

It's like those witnesses who never join the ministry school or go door to door although they "informal witness". It's like the dubs who are just seat warmers and never comment or support" theocratic activities"...like cleanin the shitters in the hall and stuff. As long as they call themselves witnesses, they figure they have a chance. Ain't that right Schizm.....ya poor sick bastard.

Schizm, if you won't respond to the questions and arguments of others it shouldn't surprise you that they will not respond to yours. Mine was rhetorical, so obviously I am not referring to that.

How do you understand Pauls expression of an experience (either his own or that of an acquaintence) involving the "third heaven"/"paradise"?

However, there is a little piece of business I left in another thread recently. LittleToe has asked this before as well, but JWs don't answer it. Please remember, this is a discussion forum. Just because LittleToe asked the question doesn't mean that others are disinterested in your answer. Jehovah's Witnesses seem ready to take their toys and go home, like a petulant child, if anyone asks a question that makes them think.

Now, the Jews teach that the Third Heaven is the Highest Heaven, i.e. the dwelling place of God. Paul called that third heaven "paradise." The word "paradise" occurs in four verses in the New World Translation. The three in the NT are Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 12:4; Revelation 2:7.

Of these, 2 Corinthians specifically ties paradise to the highest heaven (unless you believe Gamaliel's star pupil didn't know what "third heaven"). Revelation says that the paradise of God is where "the tree of life" is. Wow! It was lost in Genesis and shows up again in the third heaven. That is incredible!

Maybe now we know where Adam and Eve were cast out of? <—— Just kidding.

That's merely what you've chosen to believe. As to whether or not a person who holds diverse views is judged as an "apostate" is not actually determined solely on that basis. The WTS receives mail from individuals who "make suggestions for improvement," with the WTS stating that such suggestions are "proper". Obviously, such suggestions aren't in line with WT dogma or they wouldn't be suggestions for improvement. I happen to be one such persons that have sent in such suggestions, and I've never been looked upon as an apostate nor treated like one. You, as well as most others here, need to wake up and smell the roses.
