WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE HUMAN RACE?!

  There is a story raging in the UK.

  When the bomb went off in the london underground a man had his leg blown off, while he was in hospital his mother died, when he recovered the media where very interested in his story as he came across as a very postitive thinking and caring person.

  He said that he didnt feel bitter towards the bombers and that he would just get on with his life. He was very incouraging to the other victims and started the campaign for compensation. The media viewed him as a hero !

  A couple of weeks later it was discovered that 20 years ago he was involved and imprisoned for a gang rape of 2 16 year old girls. The crime was the worst the police had seen, they were violently raped 45 times.

  Now the media and ppl are outraged and saying that he shouldnt get the compensation money.

  Im relating this story to show that one man commited a terrible crime and showed no mercy or empathy to his victims, then at a later time showed real compasion to fellow victims and became a hero.

  What he really is I dont know, but people are complex and the evil ones tend to be more so.

  Its an interesting question, isn't it? There are those of us who could never conceive of doing some of the heinous things we hear or read about. I have found that knowing the details about some of this behavior haunts me, so unless its something I feel I should know about, I am resolved to avoid exposing myself to it.

  There was a story in Yahoo headlines a few months back that I stupidly read... a story about modern day canabalism and a man on trial for the death of another. There was no information in that story that I needed to know, but morbid curiosity kept me reading. It was not only disgusting and shocking (to me), but I feel it damaged me in some way.

  I agree with gumby, something must be missing or wrong with some people's brains, because unless you believe in malevolent spirits invading human's bodies and making them behave in unnaturally horrible ways, what other explanation is there?

  I am a 44 year old man who has never heard of "snuff movies" before until I read this thread.

  I don't know but I guess I am just a virgin in this area. When I read the thread I got sick to my stomach. I think it is important for people like Dr. Phil and Oprah to bring this info to the front so that people like me can learn about these gross and unusual acts so that we can teach our children friends and family about these terrible deeds to others. Although I do not believe that God had anything to do with it. These people will face the judgement of God someday and I can only hope and pray that these are also caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

  This kind of stuff really breaks my heart, but I think everyone needs to know it exists and maybe people that might have been tempted to either view or participate in this filth can see it for what it is, INHUMANITY!

  Mary, I feel outraged like you, things like these make me wonder where is God in all of this, why if he had the power to create the Sun etc, does he not intervene in situations like these? It has always made me wonder.

  Why the government does nothing about this? I really think it's because they themselves are sicker than you and I know, has anyone here heard about a scandal some years ago, where it was learned that quite a few important men in the government were involved in pedophilia?, and these were apparently decent, honest men, married with children, involved in gross acts with children.

  It's a sick world my freinds, and there is no God to help us, we are on our own. I personally believe there was a Creator involved in our existence, but I don't believe he intervenes for us, which really makes no sense at all.

  Evil has existed throughout all time. It will continue to flourish until God decides it is enough. We are living in tumultuos times, days beyond human comprehension. Critical times hard to deal with. This was the promise. There seems to me as if there is even more to come.

  We as humans can only view life from the standpoint of having been human. Our view is extremely limited. Any number of heinous things are going on at all hours of the day, right this minute, just now. We have acess to media coverage, able to connect us, immediately with the attrocities of the world. Our global outlook only got reduced.

  Did the scriptures not say that the days before the end was to come would need to be reduced elsewise no flesh would be saved whatsoever?

  I truly believe that as bad as it appears to be, it's nowhere near as bad as it's going to get. We have only begun to see the extent of suffering and inhumane and ungodly acts. We who are of westernised culture cannot even comprehend, many of the attrocities that have already occured and are only going to increase in thier severity. For those of us who are squeamish about life in death in this world, I'd suggest that that you brace yourself because we have only been brought to the tip of the iceberg.

  Not a Bible Thumper, or a WTS appologist. The WTBTS will have there day in heavenly court as well, of this I am certain. But I do feel that God still cares for those of us here. I don't feel that we are all alone in this, and that the answers to these as well as all other problems are certain to come.

  Enough? How 'enough" does it have to get before our grand Jehovah steps in? Let's not forget he has a bulletproof stomach for attrocities since he singlehandedly...according to the scriptures, done worse than the DR.Phil show portrayed. He stooped WAY below a nail in the head. He CAUSED fathers and mothers to starve to the point of eating their own children.......remember? Enough my arse!

  We all need to know this stuff exists. Yes, we do! If only to protect ourselves from some unfortunate encounter with one of these predators.
  
  Just yesterday my newly fixed car and I got out on the lonely road together. It has been 2 weeks since I had my vehicle. I drive 17 deserted miles to town. There are no people and no homes along the resevoir path I must take.
  
  I reached over to my purse on the passenger seat. I felt in the side pocket. There it was, my new defense weapon......a small slim screwdriver that fits in my hand very securely.
  
  Now I am no Natalie Holloway, I think I would no longer qualify for a career in prostitution, but there is nothing stopping some sick person from harming me for fun and throwing my lifeless body in the resevoir.
  
  Men, women, mothers, fathers all need to be on guard to protect the life of your loved ones from strangers.
  
  I have always held a Polly Anna attitude. I gave it up after getting dfd. Now I want to know what is going on. I want to know what is real.
  When I left the witnesses and the safer confines of the witness community I was at the mercy of very worldly individuals who took advantage of my naivety and stupidity.
  It was a painful growth process. I cherished my long held beliefs that people were basically good and meant well. Through many tears and scream filled nights, wailing for what was, and for what I thought was, I gave it up. And stopped crying.
  I no longer believe that everyone is basically good. Actually just the opposite. If given the chance people will hurt you, rob you, rape you, cheat you, lie to you. People must prove what they are to me now.
  I hold everyone in suspicion now until proven to be a friend with values.
  
  I feel much stronger and better prepared to face evil in the future.

  Hey that is what one of my relations had done to them =Alister Simms had a program on radio telling the story of this woman ( an aunt way back) who had the above done to her. Why? well it seems she was a Christian- but there were 3 girls that used to pass her house on the way to school & invaribly one of them would have an eplolitic fit out side her house... It was considered by the town ( a small one) that she was a witch so was dunked...My folks( now deceased) who revealed this to me said her name was NURSE I believe... I guess the apple didnt fall far from the old tree LOL.
