How many actually watched or owned adult material when they were Witnesses?

  stillajwexelder, I'm glad that you have used the words of that other poster and clarified that your thread was to prove that the elders are not guided by the Holy Spirit.

  However, to me your post was flippant and I felt it was pointing a finger at the elders, without you taking responsibility for the fact that you abused a position of trust and power. I want to clarify that elders are indeed in a position of power, the bible may say that all men are equal in God's eyes, but when an elder has the power to appoint or not appoint a person to the position of elder or ministerial servant or whatever, or to disfellowship someone that they deem an apostate, especially when one considers the trauma that can cause, then elders are very much in a position of power.

  As for you skyman,........get help.

  When I was at Bethel I had a Job that caused me to work on Sundays. One day I went back to my room and flipped through the TV channels. We got 9 channels from Satellite that Bethel arranged for. On channel 1 I noticed through all the fuzz that there was actually a porno flick airing! I'd bet money that some audio/video geek was watching this on the Bethel Satellite feed, not knowing that it was spilling over onto channel 1.

  You better hope that God is not like you. Because if He is your doomed, you are really doomed. God forgives you the same way you forgive others. Like I said above the problem is Abusive ELders they are not like the Elder I send the emails to, they are forgiving because they know they are dirt.

  Well skyman, you need to stop hiding behind your alias and use your real name (or is your self esteem too low for that? ). You need to go back to the Kingdom Hall and stand up when the CO and all the other big wigs are around, and you need to tell these people exactly what it's like in the 'real world of elders'. You need to be a man and stand up for and speak out about your convictions and the hidden convictions of all those elders whom you discuss in your threads. You need to point those elders out, so that they too can be men and stand up for their own convictions. You need to tell the powers that be that we are all human (and yes I use that collectively.....although as a midwife I'm used to looking at a vulva and vagina in a slightly different way). This way, you may all be able to affect the changes within the oranisation that is the Jehovah's Witnesses, that you so believe are necessary.

  Oh, by the way, congratulations for all the wondeful things you achieved as an elder. I'm sure you were truly a refreshing and interesting person to have around.
