    Just a side note.

    YOUKNOW

if you are a practicing and believing Jehovahs Witness, your input here earns you immediate expulsion from the organisation. As an elder, I would have no problem in disfellowshipping you for apostacy. On what basis?

Promulgating theories not sanctioned by the WTBTS.
Discussions of above with d/f and d/a persons.
    Association with known apostates.
    Greeting known apostates.

In other words, for peddling prophecies without a licence and for hypocrisy.

You are an unrepentant practicer of sin.

Now if you are an attender, but not a believer, that is another matter.

Interested persons want to know why you dont actually practice what you appear to uphold, and why you upbraid others mightily in the sanctimonious manner of a disgruntled ignored prophet?

I am tired of being told that this way is right, or that this is wrong...I need to see genuine application of scripture from genuine searching people, not from people who go against the tenets of whatever religion they profess to believe in....without admitting that the religion or idea or doctrine is wrong...sheesh...

I still ask...is there anything worth reforming...not for social or political reasons...but for the reason of being Gods organisation?

"Maybe we really are on our own.'

Yes we are. All grown up and having a big old slice of real life in the real world all on our very own! No Big Brother heaping big old chips of guilt and shame and fear on our shoulders, no Skydaddy keeping score of our collective and individual failures...

it only feels scary because it's a brand new taste sensation, brother. You've been spoonfed spiritual glop for so long you don't yet recognize the taste of true nourishment.

Don't panic. You can develop a nice rounded palate and appreciate life's subtler nuances, but you will get a spiritual tummyache if you try to digest all the facts too fast. Paradigm shifts swallowed without sufficient careful mastication can reflux on you bigtime!

Take a deep breath, and remember...YOU ARE NOT ALONE. God isn't going to kill you for using your brain and your heart...not today anyway .

    Watchtower April 1st 1986 page 31.

Approved association with Jehovahs Witnesses requires accepting the entire range of the true teachings of the Bible including those scriptural beliefs that are unique to Jehovahs Witnesses.

Acceptance as a member of the JW community is therefore conditional...

    Just a note, Deacon.

No one disagrees with the organization's right as a religion to determine the rules of its membership--that's the way it is now set up legally, membership. They can do anything they want regarding the "purity of the congregation."

Please note I always use the term "enforced shunning." If you walk away from the organization and they tag you with DF or DA just because you remain unconvinced of the truth of their teaching, are otherwise morally upright and "pure," then as a loyal JW I am still FORCED to shun you or risk being shunned myself! Therein lies the pure evil of it, the ripping of families to shreds over an issue of authority of the governing body!

    You Know,
Greetings. A question: just how ``pure'' is the ``language'' that assured the High School Class of 1969 (or at least the baptized JW contingent thereof) that they would never grow old, much less die?

    You Know says:

It is in fact a repudiation of your own faith to presume that humans are needed to reform an organization that has Christ as it's head. And if you question whether Christ is really the head of our organization, why would you even want to reform it?

    ###

i rarely agree with YK , but on this one his CONTEXT is correct.

why would one want to reform something that The Christ himself was heading up- makes jesus look a litte weak- don't say much for a guy who left heaven - lived on the earth- was put to death - rose - went back to heaven- chilled out at the right hand a few yrs and was finally elevated to King and now after all that

can't run his earthly org too well- it would not say much for his qualifications to run the rest of the program- if he can't handle and keep straight a bunch of old dudes in NYC- smile

so the very concept of "refrom" revolves around the key issue of the org

THAT WE SPEAK FOR GOD HIMSELF - either you believe it or you don't

and if you beleieve it then you are Messing with God's mouthpc which means you need to die

or you don't believe it and realize that they are making claims that AIN'T TRUE and therefore no need to reform anything

i mean come on you can't take a Yugo and remodel it into Rolls Royce can you

And that is the crux of the matter JT....

Is it Gods organisation going through a bad time..or is it yet another form of false religion.

But the question is...do we have anything to reform?
Are the basic tenets, doctrinal understanding, channelling from God really there within the WTBTS?

If it is, then do have to just wait for Jehovah to rectify it..

Reform can come about I suppose by waiting for Jehovah to do it....

or just by waiting..and allowing him to do it..

or by accepting that it is a false ideology and walking away..

a hard choice to be made....

    Dear Deacon:

You are the hypocrite, not me. I live my faith, and can defend it with the word of God. I am no Watchtower drone but I share the same faith as its publishers. You, on the other hand, profess to be shepherd of God's people, but, a person with only the minimal mustard seed of faith has more faith than you do. I shudder in horror at the thought that men like you are lurking as elders in the congregations. But, that's what Jehovah foretold, so that's the way it is, for now. You will eventually be found out and Jehovah's sheep will be relieved from the petty tyranny of faithless and arrogant elders.

I showed you from the Scriptures how God purposes to remedy what ails his organization. Instead of rejoicing in that knowledge, something which you did not possess previously, you instead accuse me of being an apostate for pointing out what the Bible says. That's because you have no love for truth nor respect for God or his word. That is obvious. You fit the profile of those whom Isaiah describes with these words: "For it is a rebellious people, untruthful sons, sons who have been unwilling to hear the law of Jehovah; who have said to the one seeing, 'You must not see,' and to the one having visions, 'You must not envision for us any straightforward things. Speak to us smooth things; envision deceptive things. Turn aside from the way; deviate from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease just on account of us.'"
