    Another Bravo, for Mr. Shilmer!

I've read Common Sense too and most of the rest of Thomas Paine's writings and agree with your assessment.

I can recall how Bethel Lurkers sought to ridicule Silent lambs at the beginning, as a nobody from Paducah. They have since learned

the hard way what a difference one man - or woman - can make.

I sent this email to our local paper, today:

Richard N. Ostling has an article that went out over the AP news wire yesterday (1/26/2006) on the topic of a new legal article published by Baylor University's Journal of Church and State regarding Jehovah's Witnesses and possible tortuous medical misrepresentation in their blood transfusion policy. The article also briefly covers the policy itself. I think this issue would be of broad interest to the community in Albany, particularly to medical professionals who treat Jehovah's Witnesses and to friends and family of those who are Jehovah's Witnesses. I provide below, the link to the published article on washingtonpost.com. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/26/AR2006012600943.html

I received a phone call a few minutes later. This morning (somehow) I have become a local contact for our paper's Features editor on issues related to Jehovah's Witnesses. He admitted, "I don't know much about the Jehovahs," and asked if he could give my name to his editor as a potential source for local comment.

    Respectfully,

I love this. It's exciting to see so many newspapers running this story. Oh and I'll add that I have read Thomas Paine's works. He wasn't a particularly good writer - but he was effective.

Wisconsinites, did you contact the Milw Journal Sentinal or the State Paper yet? I sent mine in with entire AP article and links to the other papers that have already printed it.

    Hello All,

Witnesses headquarters refused an Associated Press request to interview an expert on blood beliefs.
Instead, General Counsel Philip Brumley issued a prepared statement rejecting Louderback-Wood's "analysis and conclusions" in general.

What ever happened to defending your faith, their nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

They need a lawyer to speak for them, that's because they really don't believe what they teach, so they use lawyers to protect them instead of God, where's their faith...hmmm!

The new-style 2006 version of the card is quite interesting tho (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/16/104206/1.ashx), it gives one the choice to accept ... autologous procedures

Is this really true? Dubs can now store their own blood for use in an upcoming surgery? If so, that's another cosmic shift. Can anyone confirm that this truly appears on the new blood card?

    Auld...way to activate!!

What I discovered a couple years ago, through a friend of a friend, that worked at my local paper years ago, was that in fact, many of the top staff were jws, and so were their families. Not too sure if that is the case now. Yet we shall see.

I don't see the article in todays paper. I'm going to give it through the weekend to see if it gets put in the religious section. If not, then I'm going down there in person Monday with printed out articles of this story and demand they print it, in full.

Incidently, did Eduardo ever explain this corporate graph yet?:
