I could have sworn that this is a discussion forum!

Well said Buttlight, it is a discussion board, with many different opinions, and this makes this board great as long as there is respect for one another.

you might consider describing this to a doctor and not us

So, you decided that the board doesn't want to hear about this? I didn't know that you were in charge here and represented everyone?

Why is it that when a person has experienced things that might not be explainable by mundane, traditional means, that they need to be told and treated like they have psychiatric problems?

I think that enough people have told Buttlight to double check with a doctor, to make sure that all the bases are covered. She (and nor do the others) does not need to have people pounding into her brain that she is schizophrenic and (in essence) a bad mom.

Yes it is a discussion board, but is it possible for people who haven't experienced things to Maybe, just maybe think they don't have all the answers and maybe there is something else out there they can't explain? And stop treating others who have had different experiences in their life like they're crazy?

Exactly. I think alot of it is because some on here were duped by the religion (either because they joined or were raised in it), and so when they leave, they go to the absolute opposite other end of the scale where don't believe in anything beyond the material world anymore and jeer any anyone that does.

Personally, I think it's wise to rule out any such possibility. If there is an illness, you certainly don't want it to go undiagnosed. Having an illness is no reflection on a person's character.

When I was young I had my share of frightening experiences, similar to the one described here, and it wasn't a single occurance. It went on for a number of years, several times a week, and I never determined what it was. My parents didn't want to hear about it, so I just lived with it. But it stopped when I was about 14 years old, when we moved to a new house. When I was an adult I went to a doctor on my own, just to make sure I'm ok, and (believe it or not) I don't have any mental illness.

Wow that's pretty interesting. In this way, yeah, you were able to say you are ok.

I'm not against making sure people are ok. I do think that there some people have a tendency to completely discredit what another person has experienced, because if it is not explainable by a means that they accept, than therefore it is impossible. And in the process, as some are attempting to do here...

Making fun or making light of such experiences before ever finding out what a doctor has to say about the matter.

    All of this being said:

what tetra said was pretty funny. Some of us in this world can't get rid of 'activity' while others are trying to find it. lol

Well, not that I dont appreciate the fact that some think its a good idea to "rule" things out by going to the doctor. But that would mean I would have to take my three kids with me, my mom, and alot of my kids friends too! Like I said before, if it were only me, then I probably would have gone a long time ago.

Buttlight have you considered you might just be the victim of a couple of unhappy kids ? A few weeks you posted about some domestic problems you were having with your partner. Kids pick up on stuff like this, maybe they are unhappy with the home situation and want to get away and what better way to get away from the home and your partner than by convincing you that your home is possessed by demons?

I know this is a long post, but just to add a few more things. This is not the first time strange and unexplained things have happened. A few months ago, my 16 year old was laying on his bed, and his friend was sitting on the bottom of the bed. All of a sudden he was flung off the bed, and landed on the floor, the opposite direction he was laying. Needless to say, he wouldnt sleep out there for quite some time. Right before that happened, he came out of his room and told me his stereo was making noise, so he unplugged it, and it kept on doing it.

Ok so a non family member has experienced things, your mom, and countless other family. Hm, maybe the 'craziness is in the water'. Maybe you should send some of that water to tetrapod, he might appreciate it. meagan

Well if all of this was going on in my house I'd think about moving before the kids heads started spinning and the projectile vomiting started
