No fad or extreme diets ever work not in the long run anyway. The key is to eat nutritious food and use supplements a little to ensure that no nutritional deficiencies build up and that's the vital key in any diet. Cutting out chocolates, biscuits, cakes, crisps and soft drinks (chips and sodas in the USA) helps a great deal. That leaves plenty of other food.
I roughly count calories each day and I have a limit of 1800 whereas I spend about 2800. That's a good not excessive weight loss of 3-4 kilos per month. I usually exercise by walking rather fast about 100 minutes per day while listening to music or programs from portable mp3 player and radio.
I need to lose weight. but HOW?

I need to lose weight too. I decided to quit smoking recently. I lost 10 pounds just before quitting, but now I've gained 20 since quitting - that's just over 2 months. I don't snack at all, and I drink very little alcohol.
My plan is to count the calories I'm taking in, and measure/weigh all portions. I'm limiting my caloric intake to 1500 per day. I'm also starting to go for walks at lunchtime. I have a very sedentary job, and often spend the entire day with my ass in a chair. I'm walking to the store instead of driving - the plaza is only 3 blocks away. I'm also planning to get on my exercise bike every day for about a half hour.

Exercise for 30-60 minutes first thing in the morning to get your metabolism going. Everyday. Really, 3x's a week will help. But as time goes on, everyday is better.

Why Georgia
I have battled my weight for a long time and lost quite a bit of weight due to gastric bypass 4 years ago.
Now I have to diet and exercise like "normal" people.
What I have found works for me is writing down everything I eat. I use a free computer at Fitday.com It helps to see what I am putting in and what I am burning off.
It even has a place so you can customize foods, like if you go out to eat at a fast food place.
That was a big reality check for me. All those Twizzlers add up...LOL
Best regards,
Chrystal

OK just from looking at your diet, one easy way to cut your calories would be to switch to lite bread. It pretty much tastes the same and has 40 calories less per piece. So your morning toast would = 80 calories, not 160 as it does now. This would work to reduce your lunch calories as well. For dinner measure your rice and pasta, you should have no more than a cup depending on your size. I am an 8 in the US and I eat 1/2 cup of pasta or rice for dinner. Also try to have a vege at every meal or better two and load up on them. Your plate should be at least 1/2 veggies.
As for beer and wine on the weekend you could switch to lite beer. I have discovered Miller Lite has one of the lowest caloric contents with the most alcohol of Lite beers. You can find the info here: http://www.beer100.com/beercalories.htm or http://www.beer100.com/beercaloriesimports.htm . You could also switch to a shot of liquor and a diet beverage. Rum and D. Coke, 7 and Diet Gingerale, Vodka and Diet Sundrop or Diet Orange drink.
As for the cheese, I don't know if you have them or not, but here we have Laughing Cow (mini baybel cheese). They come in small individual packages so you have it pre measured and they are tasty.

20 minutes on an eliptical trainer three times a week and you will see miraculous results. You can buy one for under 250 dollars and they fit in your bedroom or basement easily. Works
the upper and lower body while burning calories with the intense cardio workout. Trust me. It works.

Okay, I know a lot of you are probably going to think this is gross, but I am going to tell you what happened to me.
I work in the pet industry and live on a farm. I gained a little more weight than I should and I was having abdominal pain and migraines. I was looking up info. about migraines and found that some research linked them to parasites. One of the parasites was a common farm animal parasite. After going through numerous expensive and some rather painful medical tests, I decided to look further into the parasite theory. Many of the parasites that dogs get, people can also get. My doctor laughed at me and said that is a 3rd wrold problem, not something we have here.
I decided that I was going to do a parasite cleanse, just to see if it would help. I bought a product called Para 90, by Aim, because it did not require fasting. I used it for one month, as per the directions, and I had amazing results. My sugar craving disappeared, I lost 15 lbs. without dieting, and my energy level was greatly improved! I actually FELT like doing more! Instead of forcing myself to go take a walk, I couldn't wait to GO, GO, GO!
My buddy, who has not had solid stools for 9 years, diagnosed with "irritable bowel syndrome" , gave it a try. I never "inspected" my stools very carefully. But she did. After about two weeks, she actually found parasites in her stools! For the first time in 9 years, she had solid stools and no more cramping, etc....
I told my dentist who had been to Mexico and was having lots of problems with his bowels, and he took it. He said it did the trick. I tell everyone I know about it. You won't hear it from the doctors. They treat symptoms, and they ignore that parasites could even be a problem. Even though a lot of research links parasites to certain cancers, Chrone's disease, etc.... Doctors shrug it off as a non-issue!
Not only could you lose weight, but your food digests better and it improves energy levels. Your sugar cravings often disappear. I use it every 6 months. Most of the people I know who use it, do a cleanse every 3 months. If you have unexplained pain and weight issues, look into it and see if it is something you might want to consider. If you have any pets, you are at an even higher risk for parasites. And if you ever go bare foot, you can double that. Parasites are difficult to find in the human body. Don't count on a stool sample finding them. They hide very well. If you have never had a parasite cleanse, you will probably be surprised what all is living within your system.
This is just a suggestion. It helped me and some of my friends. Maybe it will help some of you also!
