Itsall goodnow, really that is not helpful. This young lady is to be commended for her desire to be cautious and willing to consider her steps before rushing into anything. narrow path...Forgive some here, their resentment is not directed at you. Just never allow your powers of reason to be supressed and you'll make your own way just fine.

Let me understand you correctly, you think it is a good idea to spread false prophecies in the name of God? that's a good thing?! Just so long as someone is passionate about what they have to say? Would you feel the same if it was Satanic Worshippers coming to your door trying to get new members? How about members of NAMBLA? they feel passionate too. I suggest you look them up before you agree.

Meh, whatever. This poster could be, hmm, maybe for real, but.... I don't know.

This poster should be commended? Don't patronize me.

Door to Door service I think is great... and other religions should do it.

Remember the guys in suits on their bicycles... the Mormons do it day in and day out. Two weeks ago our local baptist church sent people out with flyers in our neighborhood for free bible studies and social activities. I know the JWs like to claim they're the only ones going door-to-door, but the facts prove otherwise.

    Fine words of counsel.

Each person has to worship their god in the way they feel appropriate. If you feel that you should preach to others, then more power to you. However, if you do research in the subject, you will find that Kenneson's position is more accurate then what the JWs believe to be true as to the "going by twos from village to village"

This thread discussed the "door to door" verses and what the author intended: 'according to houses' distributive not consecutive

I know lots of Christians who will jump all over the opportunity to "share" about their churches. They might not go knocking, but they get involved with urban and suburban youth and they don't shut up about church. There's a church lady at my office who has gotten progressively more obvious about it. I thought she was so nice, but asking about my weekend so you can assault me with 30 minutes about what you did at church on Sunday is a little transparent, I think. I believe the JWs call this "informal witnessing". Either way, I believe I may be a "return visit". She won't give up on me very easily. Some friend. I would just be a feather in her church hat.

Yes.. if you are passionate about what you believe then you have the RIGHT to preach. It is your right and I would not care if people of Satan came to my door. People who follow Satan (those who fornicate, get drunk, do drugs and worship Satan) can talk to me anytime. THE GOOD THING IS that I can choose not to listen. That is what is great-- people can spread there message and we can either listen or not. :)
