Just What Is The WT Up To Now?

Well, you really cannot get past the stupid chronology of the "generation", the "144000", and the 1935 "great multitude".

Eventually, the governing body will have to explain just exactly why they are still "annointed", even if they were born way later than 1935, and why nobody else can ever be "annointed" like they are.

    BS.

    I repeat, BS...and,

perhaps there are a lot of people still inside who are asking themselves these questions just like us apostates do.

Such thinking will rapidly lead you past the whole idiotic "two classes" system - just as Lilly has pointed out. Can anything be less Christian than teaching everybody that they are kind of "second class citizens"?

    OTWO,

Thanks for that information. As one of the "anointed" ( I prefer spirit begotten) I find it reprehensible what the WT is doing and by even the fact that they are trying to restrict Jehovah's anointing by saying they must be a person very actifve in field service for many years is a complete outrage! They do this because they do not have God's spirit on them and thus do not understand the spiritual things. God's choosing of such ones is not based on outward works performed under the command of any religious organization today. And NO ONE can tell you whether or not you have been "anointed" meaning given Holy Spirit from God - only YOU and GOD know it to be true.

When the elders told me I had to speak with them to see "if" I was really anointed I asked them how they who do not claim to be anointed are going to test ME about it? What biblical questions did Jehovah give to make this determination OR is it in fact written that only THAT PERSON knows it for sure? Of course they had to admit they don't know for sure. The WT has them looking at your record on paper. So I guess if I put down a lot of time on my card but never really go out - and I comment at all the meetings for several years, THEN I can claim an anointing from Jehovah and PASS their test whether I am telling the truth or not?

The fact that you cannot gain access to Heaven by performing works of any kind is biblical and yet the WT constantly goes against it!

By throwing out those who God really did choose for his purpose, they are fighting against the Holy Spirit. The thing is that although it is reprehensible of them, all the anointed ones they are trying to throw out already expect this action - as the WT and other religions today are fulfilling bible prophecy. All those truly anointed will be eventually thrown out of their churches or synogoges just like they were in Jesus day. Those not forcibly thrown out will leave anyway. Peace, Lilly

In the "infamous" '90's WT article, (I think it's the one regarding the new "understanding" of the signs in the heavens Matt 24), there was a reference to the remnant not living through Armageddon. I think it said something to the effect that there was "no need" for the remnant to endure what the other poor schleps have to suffer through. (Okay...they didn't say it exactly like that. LOL) I'm at work, can't look it up. So the buzz in our conversation circles was "what does THAT mean?"

They are developing their dogma as they go along, I agree. I also agree the numbers of the 144K do not add up with historical martyrs and IBS/JW statistics.

Their whole ideology hangs on the mystery of Matt 24:45-47, who they are and what they have to say. What a joke.

hey, as you may notice I am "fresh" - and i am from germany, i apologize my english. From time to time i try to read = understand what you
wrote and discuss about the Organisation. am I am right, if this post tell, that the Org. wants to sort out the anointed ones? To make sure
that the development goes in their direction? My thought, I hope understandable for all, and my anger is that ... these anointed were supported
by the congregation - they were partaker of the memorial and all viewers were witnesses of these holy spirit and how should the organisation
explain their followers this? There is much more of my thoughts in my brain - sorry, I don't trust my english to write it down .. not to blame
    myself.

I also asked for translation help in the german forum, to make sure that I do not missunderstand this case. Is this a rumor or is this fact - because of the photos of the WT?

Else I like to know is - how the congregation or family members tread the members of jw if they leave the congregation by own decision?

bye for now - and thank you so much for your support in advance

    Welcome, Angelkisses!

Yes, I believe you understood well what lovelylil is saying, that from what she knows the organization appears to be unhappy about the number of JWs claiming to be annointed and there may be some 'arm twisting' about to take place to help bring the figures down. They certainly should not be a rise in memorial partakers if Armageddon is coming very soon! A rise just makes the WTBTS look stupid and they wouldn't like that!

Baptised members of the JW congregation who announce they no longer wish to be JWs will be shunned or ignored by their family members.

Some choose to 'fade' which is just gradually stop going out in service, and meetings and eventually moving away. This sometimes avoids being disfellowshiped and then shunned.

When my mum declared herself anointed she got a lot of opposition within, she had to flea one KH or they would have d/f'd her. She is now in her 60's and I personally think she was going through depression when she declared herself chosen. I doubt if god would want her in heaven with him, she would talk over him and tell him where he was going wrong. Meek and mild are not words you would associate with my mum. She is controlling, but she is also someone who has put her heart and soul into worshipping Jehovah and following his organisation despite all the crap it has thrown at her. I wouldn't know where to start there, but I remember when I was growing up and my dad hit her once and she went to the elders and all they said is that you need to be in submission or these things will continue happening. I wrote to Bethel complaining and I was very young, but they never responded. Also she has had a feud with her neighbour over land entitlement who was very mentally challenged, and the PO in the congregation volunteered himself a witness in court, siding with this man over my mum, he had no business in any of this but went out of his way to make it his business. She lives on her own in an empty house South West of England and does everything for the religion. You don't get many like that in the religion who are that zealous although she does have her faults. She is a difficult person, but she doesn't deserve the grief she gets. She genuinely thinks that she gets this grief because Christ got likewise and she is a bride of Christ! I just think the religion, especially the elders and attachees to them are nasty pieces of shit. On the whole, they have silly menial jobs where they get told what to do by non-JW's who are half their age, they build up a lot of frustration because of this and let it rip within the congregation. My mum could have been something, but because of that religion she has fucked up her life completely. It breaks my heart that she cannot see that there is true happiness out there and being a JW only enhances her depression, which she refuses to get help for or admit that she has depression. I cannot even advise her to get help - when I have she tells me I'm demonic! JW org is a classic mind control religion, it seeks to divide and rule - anointed / great crowd = class system, it doesn't promote peace and harmony. But then I am yet to find anything within the religion that does. They can draw their simplistic pictures of a child stroking a tiger and promote an ideology, but when youre in it you realise that the religion is very very rotten, ugly and vile.

It's my birthday today and my birthday wish is that my mum leaves that evil religion, and allows her children (all 4 of us grew up in the JW religion but quick stepped out when it the opportunity arosed), her grandchildren (6 of them) to show her how to live life in a happy, positive and fulfilling way. The religion doesn't allow you happiness. Fingers crossed.

    Angelkisses,

    Welcome, Yes you understood rigth!

    Bam,

Happy Birthday! I am sorry to hear about your Mom. The problem with the WT's explaining the anointed is that they do not have the proper spiritual eyes to do it. They have no understanding of what being chosen really is. They think you can be chosen by works but you cannot. You are chosen by God's grace only. Any who believe in Christ as the Lord and turn their lives over to him can pray and ask for Holy Spirit. If you are chosen as a son of God, you will know it as the Holy Spirit will become manifest in you.

I was talking with some anointed yesterday and I seems that most of us have the same "inner" acknowledgement that we have the spirit in us. This deposit of Holy Spirit is what assures "us" that we have a part in the convenant and will recieve all the future promises of it. It is a hard term to describe to those who do not experience the same thing but the bible calls it "Christ in you". It is the spiritual change that all Chrstians should reach for. The bible also calls it being "born again" or "born of spirit". What does that mean?

It means you are no longer living with a fleshly view of things but are living a life "in the spirit". You put away earthly desires and look towards heavenly things. See Romans 8 for more of a description of what this is. The only way really to tell who has God's spirit on them is by their fruits. Now, while the WT says these are works such as meeting attendance, field service hours, etc. they are not. The fruits are the fruits of the spirit. Which are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, etc. These are named in Gatatians chapter 5. All true Christians attached to the true vine (Jesus) will bear much fruit. And it will be obvious to them and all around them that they truly are "spirit anointed".

When some claim to have this hope, it is hard to say for sure. Only they and God would really know. And those of us who do have this hope are not to judge others about it either. But I would think you would need to really understand what this means. And for the WT to simply say "they just know" is not a very good explanation. But of course, Like Nicodemus in Jesus day, they do not understand what spirit anointed means anyway for they are trying to use physical or fleshly understanding to describe it and do not have the true spiritual understanding. Hope this helps some to understand. And btw, the heavenly door is not closed, nor is it limited to 144,000. Anyone during this time (gospel age) can accept Christ in their lives and become born of spirit.

If anyone would like to talk more about "born of spirit" or feel this may apply to them after looking up the cited scriptures, feel free to pm me. Peace, Lilly

"Rutherford really boxed in the Society with this teaching."

I believe the issue is CONTROL -- the anointing with Holy Spirit is the ONLY teaching left in the JW doctrine that is totally personal. The anointing occurs between God (actually Christ, but we're talking about JW doctrine here and they even leave Christ out of his own "marriage") and the one who receives it.

For all the years that I was active, a person's status as an "anointed" one was untouchable -- even when the society representatives did not believe it was genuine. But since Rutherford and his successors managed to convince the majority that they do not have a heavenly hope, I don't suppose it was really a huge issue in the past.

Congregations with many anointed now would be the Borg's worst nightmare. How would they go about "proving" that someone had not received Holy Spirit when it comes directly from God? And on what basis would a JC of GC elders judge an anointed one?

Have there been any updates on the idea that the WTS is trying to identify a "New Anointed" apostasy?

The WTS should just come out and admit that after extensive research they have reached the conclusion that the Bible is nothing but borrowed stories and nonsense, the literature will be recycled. The more valuable Real Estate and Stock will be sold and the money distributed amongst the brethren for all the trouble they have caused them all these years, and that includes the people they DF'd and the families of those they killed with the blood doctrine. The Kingdom Halls names will be changed to "Freedom Fest Social Clubs" where you can attend 1 Sunday a month and have a party, catch up with all the latest gossip, have good food, a few beers and since all the chairs will be removed and a dance floor installed, everyone can have a go at shaking their booty. Ahhhh........just thinking about it brings a sparkle to my eyes........Hey, I CAN DREAM CAN'T I?

6 years later, we now know the answer to the poster's question...

    • May 2007... Heavenly Gates (closed since 1935) have been re-opened due to the deaths of all GB members born before 1935.
    • October 2012... Only the Governing Body can call itself the Faithful & Discreet Slave... all other annointed have been stripped of their FDS status.

End result... the GB 2.0... a more divine entity with unyielding power and influence.
