Im a better cook than my ex wife ,i iron better than her too never needed her for that just wanted unconditional love and a friend the only things that spoiled it was jws and her 20 yold son who she still tucks in bed at night and washes his hair and who on holiday never left our side for two weeks .oh and because of the org our sex life became none existant .

No matter what, it's never a good idea to compare your wife or girlfriend to your mother.
Is it okay, though, for women to compare their husbands or boyfriends to their fathers? What's the difference?
I am just rather put off by the hateful tone here. I understand some degree of resentment by someone who's had a particular experience with men, or women, repeatedly. However, it's only the fault of the person who made the bad choices to, repeatedly, continue to be with those types of people, and not the fault of the entire spread of the other gender.
It's no one's fault but one's own if they keep choosing partners from one small part of the broad spectrum of types of people in the world.
I know, funny-funny, but I don't find it all that funny, just rather demeaning.

Hm do I compare my husband to my father? Yeah I guess I have but it's been mostly how alike they are, how they like similar things. If my mother hadn't got in the way I think my husband and father would be best buds because they really do like each other and used to go the the movies together with the kids. It would have been great, my father could have given my husband pointers on how to be a better father and husband from a man's point of view.
I don't think this thread is hateful.
