Had that darn "weights" dream!

  (Sorry...I'm venting now, since you've said you're in the medical field. I think it's important that medical people know these kinds of unusual situations DO exist.............)

  You don't have to tell me. My husband was misdiagnosed and lost his leg and half his pelvis. My mother didn't get diagnosed for a goiter regrowth that ultimately killed her. And I won't tell you about me. . . basically they don't know what it is. That's why I'm off work.

  I thought I had AIDS or hepatitis because of working with patients with these diseases. Nope, it is not that. I think the doctor/s is waiting for something to blow up so they can diagnose it.

  So what did diagnosis on your husband turn out to be, what did they think it was, and is he getting appropriate (albeit, too late) treatment for it now?

  J-ex-W I had two bone marrow biopsies last year because they thought I had cancer. Dr said he didn't see big enough number of abnormal cells for it to be cancer. I have problems with lymphocytosis and neutropenia. My ENT gave me a steroid shot for my Occipital Neuritis that further decreased my immunity and got one of those kid's skin disorders called molluscum contagiosum. I've got these things all over my body. I went to my other doctor he put me on Zovirax said it was nothing "unless you're immunocompromised" okay I am. He said it could take forever to get rid of. It's on my arms, back, breast, chest, stomach, and legs! And it's u-g-l-y! They've, also, said that my Epstein Barr titers are high. . .

  My husband had the hemipelvectomy way back in 1984 for soft tissue sarcoma of the sciatic nerve related to Agent Orange exposure.

  I've told this story before. I imagine people get tired of it.

  I haven't heard/ read it, so I couldn't be tired of it. I'm sure I'm not the only one interested to know.

  Oh, Honey, I'm sorry!! What a mess...... Man really does know how to throw all kinds of dangerous and damaging elements into the mix, don't they? Just the Epstein Barr is enough to show your immune system is taxed...and therefore, compromised. Some of those other things I'll have to look up--but not right now, 'cause I'm way too tired. I've had all of 2-3 hrs. sleep in the last twenty-four, just this afternoon, in fact.

  Ya know, if you're chronically sleep deprived (from poor quality, not necessarily quantity), which it sounds like you are, from your description of your sleep behaviors, your immune system will be further taxed. It's during the deep sleep phase (delta) that the immune system gets to reboot. Robbed of that, it's downhill from there. [But I'm sure I don't need to tell you that.]

  Yeah, I could put on one of those monk's habits and we'd could go out and kick it! My friends are always the party people and I'm the one that sits and chills. If they've got a good DJ and I've had enough liquor, I might try to shake a leg!

  One of these days I'll get out of the blue funk and step out!

  I'm sorry MrsMcD for being away so long , I just had to collect my thoughts during the day .Also sorry to hear about your husband but this is something that is unbelievable. It reminds me of a girl I knew when I was a teenager, she had gone out with a freind of mine for a while and he told me ,when they had broken up ,that she had a penchant for some unusual sexual behaviour.

  Well I was asked by her to take her to see a drive-in movie ,and ,borrowing another freinds van we went and reversed it up to see the movie. We had a matress in the back and when I fell asleep I awoke to her doing something that my freind had warned me about - she was there with her pants down and her hand in my pants! Well normally guys would say it was a dream come true but unfortunately I awoke and recalled what my mother used to do to me when I was a little kid ,I was woken up angry and I let her know it.

  We talked about it after I had calmed down and she admitted to me she had this problem of being turned on by fiddling up a man when he is asleep. Apparently my freind used to play upon her desires and pretended to be asleep and she would go thru the whole act! So women do it too.

  I went out with her for a while and she agreed not to touch me like that anymore because it had only been a short time that I actually had been able to have sex with a woman . Up till then I would feel sick if a girl wanted to be intimate with me because it made all my bad memories come back from my mother molesting me.

  It's no real mystery is it that the JW's suck us into a place where we think we are safe from the bad in this world ? Then when I married my second wife she tells me she was molested by her Elder father! And this goes to court this week so we hope to get some justice from the system 'cause she sure did'nt get it from the WTS when we were conned in there.

  NO I can't say that I ever had that kind of dream, as a matter of fact I rarely dream at all, ever

  They say everybody dreams, If you want to know what your dreaming there are ways to tweak your conciousness.

  Wozadummy sounds like you had some hard times to deal with. I don't know why it's hard for me to think of a woman molesting her son! It just freaks me out.

  I hope that you and your wife get some well deserved justice from the court.

  Jaguar, I don't know if it's just a black term or just my mom's term, but she would say you had a witch riding your back. I guess a witch and a hag or synonomous. Which ever that bitch needs to leave me alone! Another sleep tale that I heard as a child was that if you were sleeping on your back and had a dream that you were falling and if you hit the bottom you would die. So, I was scared to sleep on my back for a while there!
