    Friends:

YES!?!? Why do better days take so long in coming our way? Excellent question, Sad emo. Hope Kitty is better soon. And that news of your friend was so good to hear. I know individuals who are bitter and stopped in their tracks over far less, though I'm not one to judge. Thanx!

    Sad Crumpets:

I understand completely. I am sorry for your aloneness and resulting loneliness. Now I can understand my widowed dad always saying he needed a hug - that physical connection. Please, feel better soon!
Remember the song lyrics about 'if you can't love the one you want, love the one you're with'? I was majorly let down this weekend by being left out of a very important family event. It was not done to hurt me - that I know. And then no calls on Dad Day. I raised my kids NOT to celebrate anything so I shouldn't complain. They are otherwise very good to me.
I was doing my best to maintain a good attitude, but it was difficult. Then a friend calls up and offers to take me to Lake Tahoe for a little junket. That dispelled the blues and made me thank God for small but immensely meaningful favors. Love the one you are with!

    Brinjen and Eclipse:

Thank you for sharing your good vibes. Glad the Death Dragon is flying off to another time and place, surely to wreak havoc wherever she might touch down.

    Love to all,

    CoCo

Tuesday morning and I'm sitting at work, Goo Goo Dolls concert not going to happen until Sept (boo hisss) I was looking forward to that. So much to do and so little time. Ooooooooh looking forward to the book club I just joined **nerd** it's about time I picked up my books again, seriously thinking about going back to school, but here is the problem do I go and get a degree in something I really like and then spend my life living in a box?? Nope, box living is not for me. Sigh, I'll figure something out. I think my cat might be bipolar.

Wonderful day here today - it's raining!! YEAH!! It's been soooo hot and dry here, finally finally some relief!

Woke up to a beautiful day, saw the sun rise, it was a glorious ball of orange/red before it slipped behind the clouds.

Took the dogs for a hike and swim early this morning before the rain. The breeze was wonderful, you could feel the storm coming, and with it the fresher air. Saw the Blue Heron again this morning, but didn't see him catch any breakfast. Saw a huge snake!! (Ok, maybe it wasn't "huge" lol). Ran back home, dashed out to a Dr's appt, and stopped in for tea with Grace. Talked to a good friend on the phone.

Could a morning be any better??

Glad you enjoyed the rain I sent Bumble Bee!! We've had three virtually dry days here - but it's forecast to turn nasty again tonight, it's very humid at the moment - like breathing through a wet towel, so I think we could get thunderstorms too.

I managed to get a place booked in a cattery for my cat which needs the heart tablets every day for the week I'm on holiday. The first three I tried were fully booked, the fourth one, well, I decided from what they said that there was NO WAY I was going to trust them with the care of my cat - they proposed mixing the meds into soft (wet) food (which she can't eat because she has no teeth) and then 'leaving it until she was so hungry that she'd eat it'!! I was horrified to say the least! Fortunately the fifth place I phoned had one place left - they charge a little extra for medicating but I take that as a good sign that they will do it properly. Now that's sorted, I can look forward to my holiday without worrying.

    Greetings, Friends!

    Ninjarama:

Good hearing your writ. Crump's perked up a bit - so good! Glad yer mum's eating a tad more. Enjoy your dry and sunny Scotland. See ya' later. Cheers big ears ....

    Lola:

A bipolar cat? Made me think of the bogus kitty in "Meet the Parents" that got wound up on that nicotine chewing gum. Hope he/she's OK. Sorry about the GooGoo cancellation. Thanx for sharing!

    Mrs. Bee:

Your morning jaunts with the pooch seem a great way to start each day, what with a dive into the drink. You, or just Fido? Glad you got some precip - it's always a welcome relief to the hot and the dry. Stay cool. No, it doesn't get any better than what you just described!

    Sad emo:

I'm glad you found a cattery [never heard that term before, but I don't get out often]. We always had someone come to the house to feed our cats, but that's not doable in all situations, obviously. Hope you have a happy holiday. Please cease breathing through wet towels. You'll catch your death!

    Thank you, dear ones!

    Good day to all!

Well, we got the thunderstorms as I expected so I had almost no sleep last night due to the noise and flashes! My internet access was murdered by the lightning just before 10pm - only the dsl filter which I can replace easily though. And oh, the rain came down again! This morning we had blazing sunshine and hence the humidity again (around 80%) - you're right CoCo, breathing through wet towels isn't healthy!

Now it's getting cloudy again, I think we may have more rain...

Thats what happens when you utter the words - three days no rain Madame Emo!

We had storms too - the sky went that fluroscent electric yellow and I got my pre-storm headache and then it burst - gorgeous. I wanted to go out naked and dance in it, but couldnt get internet service to find out current UK law on nudity in the suburbs. I doubt any of my neighbours would have complained - and to be fair most of them have probably be confronted with a naked yoga session or two anyway - since I like to do it in front of a full length window onto the communal lawn. Not for salacious reasons or to frighten the local children you understand, merely so that I can feel more at one with nature being separated from it by just the slender barrier of glass.

Lolalola - sad news re googoodolls. But dont you have a basket ball match to look forward to shortly? I know what you mean about the degree - try and find something you will like as well as paying a good income. When I looked at where the money is for occupation - much of it is either Info Technology and whilst they seem to think I am the IT expert at work - this really isnt saying much as my expertise mainly runs to slapping the hard drive, declaring it dead and ordering a new one and also in Engineering. I just think I would suck at both. Enviornmental Scientist is another one up and coming with lots of jobs around the world as companies are forced to take more responsibility for pollution and damage to the enviornment, but you really need to have a fairly good grounding in chemistry and maths and I dont. So in the end I went for something I would find interesting but was also reasonably versatile in that I can make it sound pretty applicable for a wide variety of jobs. There's no point studying something you have no ability in at all, though you are quite smart so you'd probably do well at many subjects. My priority was finding work in a field I am intersted in and which allows me to use words galore in reports and assessments and that will enable me potentially to travel away from this culture-forsaken country to that other one you live in!

Beautiful sunny day here today. The storm pushed the humidity away, and ushered in fresh air! On my walk this morning, there was the wonderful scent of the wild roses on the breeze.

It is a wonderful way to start the day. It brings me to a good place for the day, it connects me to something higher, instills inner peace and calm. Just my doggies go for a swim here. When we go to the lake, they swim with me though.
