honestly, this stuff makes me going back to the JWs...

me, myself and i never experienced something that couldnt be explained. okay, there were some stuff when i was a child, but i believe i just dont remember very well.

    these are the possibilities:

    - ghosts experiences are for real (goto 1.)
    - ghosts experiences aren not for real (goto 2.)

    1.)
    - the bible is right about ghosts and they are demons and god exists (goto 3.)
    - the bible is not right and 'ghosts' may be something else (goto 4.)

    2.)
    - ghosts dont exist (end of story)
    - ghosts do exist even though they dont show themselves (goto 1.)

    3.)
    - the JWs have the right religion (end of story)
    - the JWs dont have the right religion (end of story)

    4.)
    - ghosts are dead humans (end of story)
    - ghosts are extraterrestrials, shadows from other dimensions, visitors from the future, whatever... (end of story)

what does it mean, that studying with JWs and stuff can ghosts scare away? is it god/angels who protect the jws? or are the ghosts happy that the JW is in a demonic religion now and let the JWs look like an "angel of light"?

why did the science never encountered proof for supernatural things but the world is full of unprovable hints they exist?

    what is this stuff?

if i ever encounter something cleary supernatural i likely will go back to the JWs. i dont know whether it is the right decision, but its the only thing i could imagine to do in that case.

you know what's funny? in EVERY jw forum i asked a question about demons/ghosts a HUGE crowd responded with a big believe in demons because many many ppl experienced it first hand and SWEAR that demons are for real. but many of them still think the JWs are wrong. why is that?

JW's want to demonize everything...going to college can cause you to encounter demons in their opinion.

but many of them still think the JWs are wrong. why is that?

Because JW's get many things wrong. I believe that "ghosts/spirits" and such are not all that bad as many make them out to be. Some may cause problems but for the most part I believe that either they are trapped spirits or spirits that try to get our attention to help us out with things.

For example, I did experience supernatural when I was about 15. My sister also seen the same thing but we both had different thoughts on it. She was scared and swore it was a demon. I wasn't, it was more of a trying to let me know something.

The story goes. We lived right next to a church. My sister and I shared rooms and it was about a week away from me getting baptized. One night we were sitting up late (like we did many nights) playing a board game. We turned off the lights and noticed something strange in the church. It was a figure of a man walking very slowly past the church window inside of the church. As we watched, he past by the window a few times and then stopped in front of it. He turned slowly around and looked straight at us. Now there was no cars around..no lights on in the church but we could see right through him. He "glowed" like the color of the sun setting in the evening. Again, we could see right through him because we could see the pews and some other details in the church. When he looked at us, I got the feeling of caring, love, wanting to help. Today, I believe it was meant for me and he was my spirit guide trying to warn me NOT to get baptized. Although I didn't feel any negative things from the entity, my parents and my sister swear even today that it was a demon. I don't tell my story too often because there are way to many judgementals out there and I don't like to get into an argument of what "I" saw.

What ever they are, the point is what you saw, is what you saw.

No dreaming, no hallucinations, no LSD, no mushrooms.

Exactly!!! And that's why I don't get into arguments with people. They weren't there...I was.

I so believe something more is out there and is there sometimes to help. If we constantly "chase" them away, then we won't see them. If we are too scared of them...they are more than likely not to come around. Way to many people become too frighten. People are frighten of the unknown I guess.

    Freedom frog,

    I believe you,

the way I look at it is this, over the entire world every culture has ghosts, even in the most remote places in the world, everyone can't be wrong.

Good god Andre, those photographer/camera screw-ups are so NOT supernatural that it is funny.

Personally, I don't doubt people when they say they've seen such things with their own eyes. I don't doubt that some people hear "voices" as well. Perception, belief and chemistry go a long way in how we experience things, wouldn't you say?

Now if more than one person sees the same thing at the same time, the event is graduated from an "internal" to an "external" experience, IMO. This to me elevatees the credibility of said event and warrants further investigation. Proof would be nice but a lack thereof to me doesn't mean said event is supernatural in origin; it just means the explanation hasn't been discovered. And just because everyone in the world at one point believed the world was flat doesn't make it true.

As a sidenote, way back in the day shortly after I left the dubs, I was "involved" with a friend who was a witch and who claimed to be able to see spirits who "spoke" to her. She said they were curious about me and that they made room for me as I passed. At the time, I believed more in the supernatural than I do now (angels/demons, etc) and I must admit that I liked the idea of it at the time and wasn't fearful of said spirits. To make a long story short, I believed she believed what she saw was real and though she was very charming, I was not convinced they existed outside of her head just as Jah, Satan and all that rabble existed in mine. Needless to say, it was a time of uncertainty in my life about what and who to believe and I was fearful of being manipulated on these grounds, naturally. I did appreciate her offer of a protection spell though, it seemed a harmless good intention with a different label.

"Tis an interesting world we live in, no?

BTW, a question to any wiccans out there. What does it mean when you refer to someone as a "13"?

ill bet if you took a steak into that room with little fido would follow you.

LMAO.....I've always been of the understanding, that animals, particularly, cats and dogs, are very perceptive of the "underworld". I don't know whether it's true or not, but it would not surprise me. Dogs are able to hear high-pitched sounds, that we humans cannot, so why couldn't they hear, or detect, things of a spiritual nature?

I will not argue either, with those who do not believe, but I for one, have had too many experiences, to NOT believe. My husband and children, and even my own practising JW mother, has heard the strange noises in my house. It scared my mom, but it does not scare us. We've heard it too often. Also, there are too many people, that can relate too.

A neighbour around the corner from me, lives in a huge old mansion. They know there is a ghost living there, and when it's around, they can smell either cologne and cigars, or perfume. Their children have "seen" something wandering the front hallway, where the original owners were laid out during their funeral wake, back in the late 1800's. The history of the house is very interesting.

And what about those who are schizophrenic, and claim to hear voices, telling them to do evil things? Son of Sam comes to mind. Was he really in control of his own mind? Or was something far more sinister in control of him? Did he really need medication?Or was it just a crock, an excuse, if you will?! All these questions and more, will probably never be answered, but it makes one wonder......

i need to stress my question again... its a big topic for me, sorry :/

"what does it mean, that studying with JWs and stuff can ghosts scare away? is it god/angels who protect the jws?"

the story of freedom frog makes me wonder...
do you think that this could happen in a kingdom hall also? did anything supernatural happen in a kingdom hall at all? what does it mean if not?

if ghosts are spirits of dead humans i believe the kingdom halls where all haunted :) too many lifes thrown away in that halls lol.

if they are fallen angels aka demons... why would they stay away from it? gods protection?
