  It's been a while since I posted. I have the day off and am listening to this band while trying to do housework. I've seen this band twice and will be seeing them again soon. A real nice group of guys. One really needs to see them in person to appreciate their talent. Here's just a few songs.

  What a cool thread. This song has always meant a great deal to me. I even wrote a short story based on a memory some 40 years ago. I posted it here, it's somewhere, don't know now. Anyway, thanks for the thread. It's a bitter-sweet feeling.

  Amazing Grace is one of the best musical compositions of all time.

  Even as an agnostic, I am moved by it.

  But, I am moved because of the triumph of human spirit and the eternal desire that some of our species have to see us all treated as equals.

  It must be remebered that the secular humanists (to the chagrin of many of Christendom's churches) in the 19th Century were at the vanguard of the movement to end slavery and see the concepts in the "Rights of Man" adopted by our society.
