When Meetings Went Overtime, What Did You Do?

Years ago when a couple of elders were at my home I told them to please end thier meetings on time, that they had their 2 hours alloted to them to bore me and they weren't allowed any more than that, then I read them several articles stating such. Our meetings now end on time.
In the old days I just got up and walked out on time, If they are not polite enough to obey the time rules, I am not polite enough to stay.
Why is it that the most boring speakers and conductors are the most long winded, you would think they would bore their own selves to death , or their own family members would clue them in.

Often I said this here:
If they go over time, I would fix their clock.....
When it was time to clean the hall on Saturdays, I made sure to clean the clock and advance it 5 or 6 minutes, just enough to get even.

Honesty
I would give counsel and tell the offending brothers that they were being selfish and unloving towards the brothers who had to get on the platform behind them.
You can guess how popular I was among the 'Servant Body'

As a teenager forced to sit in the upper rows along with my parents behind or in front of me.....here is the list of activities from all. (I also use to sit in back at the end of a meeting, holding various toddlers.....so I know what I speak of here.)
Itching, straching, and all books put away with song book in lap, narry a bible pulled out after time. Fanning themselves with song books. crossed legs kicking furiously in the aisles
Arms held above chair level looking at watches, twisted necks back to the clock, yawning, rolling eyes, men who supposedly had duties in the back.... up and leaving for same.
If it got really bad the people in back started pinching their kids to induce wailing and noise beyond belief.
There were so many speakers that loved the sound of their own voices, these tactics were emplyed by the audiance....no kidding...on any given Friday night or on Sundays.

If it is at night, I try my best to not fall asleep.
usually it looked something like this (only without the cup)
P.S. I stole this off of erynw's page of a thousand smileys -

And here I thought it was just me fidgeting with my blood boiling. I would look around and everyone would still be entranced. Maybe they were in a coma - who knows. I am one of the most punctual people you would ever meet -- I cannot tolerate OT at the meetings.
I had an older aunt who would have a fit when the DC would run over and we would have a 20 minute prayer. It was pretty funny.

I remember when the circuit overseer would always run over on Sunday around 12:15 he was still talking. Just then a metal handicap young man would yell "when we going to lunch?"

I couldn't really do that much, but I would have liked to have staged a mass walkout if this happened. Especially if the hounder-hounder is there and the meeting is supposed to end at 9:15 and it didn't, right at 9:15 having everyone just walk out. The hounder-hounder could go on as long as he wanted after, but there would be no audience.
