many times i left the meeting esp tms and service meeting, it was already long enough.

Purps, Be glad that you stopped attending meetings before brother car-make-name elder came to the congregation. If he had the last part on the meeting it was a guarantee that the meeting was going over by at least 15 minutes.

Towards the "end", I was doing the Bookstudy in 20 minutes.

Because I made a mistake. I was trying to say that the bookstudy was SUPPOSED to go from 7:30 - 8:30, but that ours lasted from 7:35 - 8:45. Guess I mashed the two thoughts together.

I conducted a bookstudy for years. ANYTIME I could get out earlier, I would. There were a few lessons that lasted 45 mins. I was a PO for a while and Watchtower Study Conductor and TMS Overseer. I wanted to get to the point and finish up. I got sick of the sound of my voice too, after a while!

I sat in the sound booth, (old hall) and when they would all look down at their bibles I'd move the hands on the clock ahead two minutes. I would do this when I knew that we would be going overtime, say at two minutes before it should have ended. The look on the speakers face was priceless when he looked up to see he was WAY overtime. We always got out on time when I ran the sound system! That was fun. W.Once

I would reach for my songbook. Turn to the closing song and make it clear to those sitting around me that the meeting was over.

Twice I had the concluding part on the servicemeeting and those prior to me went over. I said something to the effect that because we are going overtime we will go right to the concluding song..

NY, I did the songbook thing too. I'd get the large edition out, make it known I was ready for song and certain ones would begin to crack up.

    I KNOW I must've looked pissed!

Same here, that was part of the motivation. I wanted everyone to know that I was being inconvenienced.

Elder's meetings were really the worst with he Boy's Club mentality. (Like I wanna spend 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon talking about stupid bullsh*t?)

Two witness rule? This one elder I called on the carpet had to get five elders to confirm my complaint!!!! Five elders before admitting to him going overtime, can you imagine! What happened to the two witness rule?
