Mary- I know how ya feel about these alledgedly caring pseudo-christians . My mom was in the hospital for one week, and only us the immediate family and my witness dad, and brother and his wife visited my mom. Then I was on the phone with mom 2 weeks after, and her house was crawling with them. They had just let out from the afternoon book study around the corner, so it happened to be convenient. i had to call my mom back later, so as not to disturb the earth shattering spiritual falsehoods being dispensed by her visitors. Ecch! Hope your dad is doing better. You are a wonderful daughter to your parents, and we here at JWD want you to know you are valued very much here. We see your goodness

i am so happy to hear your dad is home and settling in nicely (except for the visitors:)
when my 'wordly' father died,,about 20 yrs ago,,not one person gave me a card,flowers,,nothing
but when an elders wifes father died (he was a jw) she had to have dinners planned/cooked by the sisters for a month
wth????

Mary, I admire your restraint in holding your tongue.
I remember when your dad was sick and if anything happened to him as a result of 'no blood' you threatened to go all 'Danny Haszard' on them. I kept hoping you would anyway! You have such a different style than Danny, and all I kept thinking is with your style and his passionate anger-you could be a powerfully scary ex JW. I mean, cause old men to resign their anointedness kind of power. I sure as heck wouldn't want to mess with you!
