The Screws are tightening! Fear is paramount for mind control to work!

  I have recently been noticing my mother's and other relatives' increased fervent and frantic activity in the WT Society.

  I wondered why they are becoming so fanatical and decided to take an indepth look at the latest Watchtowers.

  I believe there is a very worrying trend in the WT society now for a apocalyptic zeal that borders on fanaticism and now the WT is tightening the screws with its demand for 'Cultic Obedience.'

  In the past I wondered whether another 'Jonestown,' or similar scenario, was possible, but though the WT may well NOT ask its members to take their own lives I wonder what the WTBTS will ask them to do.

  Notice these quotes from the December 15th Watchtower for 2007:

  Page 18 paragraph 15:

  'What else can we learn from Israel's Exodus from Egypt? That we must obey Jehovah no matter what he asks us to do. The Israelites were obedient in carrying out the detailed preparations for the Pssover. They obediently stayed indoors druing the night of Nisan 14. When they finally left Egypt, they had to go 'in battle formation.' Today it is so important that we follow the guidance that comes to us through 'the faithful and discreet slave!' We have to listen very carefully to God's word behind us saying" (quotes Matt 24:45) As we get nearer to the outbreak of the great tribultaion, we may well receive some detailed instructions. Our safe journey through those troublesome days will depend on our keeping in step with other loyal servants of Jehovah.'

  Paragraph 16 says:

  'Today, we may not clearly see why some organizational matters are handled in a certain way, but we have every reason to trust in Jehovah's guidance through his faithful channel of communication.'

  Paragraph 18 advises:

  'In the coming calandar year, it would be well for each one of us to take stock of himself to make sure that everypart of our armor is in place and fits well. Our enemy, Satan the Devil, knows our weaknesses and he tries to catch us off guard or to attack a vulnerable spot. We have a wrestling with wicked spirit forces.'

  Personally, I worry about my relatives 'still in'. The is a massive amount of fear and mind manipulation taking place in that mags. Not that this never took place before, but Satan and the demons are mentioned more and as many times as Jehovah.

  On the back page of the January 15th study issue, I counted 12 'Satan', 1 Jesus and 2 mentions of Jehovah!

  The JWs are being terrified into submission.

  The screws are tightening.

  At some point, the R and F are going to be instructed to do or obey the WTBTS to their detriment more than they are now and the Watchtower is already sowing the seeds of total control.

  What are they up to? What will they demand?

  I think this call for obedience and 'we may not understand how certain organizational matters are handled" are a clear indication of new - and difficult to swallow - light coming. They're just doing the ground work.

  Thank you so much for this post.

  I don't get any "pro" JW material from my family members in a while. I keep e-mailing them some interesting "news" articles on JWs (like last week's NGO type meeting that 4 or so JW countries attended).

  My e-mails are working. One of my siblings was headed back to the meetings a few months ago. Now, not going again. One small win for Skeeter.

  So, they don't believe in war, but they are "going into battle formation? Do I hear the word....Hypocrites?

  This is scary...... "Battle formation" and "follow the faithful and discreet slave" in the same sentence.

  I thought they admited they were not the Faithful and discreet slave? Am I wrong here?

  Or is it they admitted not to be "God's channel of communication"?

  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  I don't know if this has been posted before. These are the notes for the annual meeting. Notice the faithful and discreed slave are "not inspired so they are going to err" but that "does not mean the slave is not the means Jehovah is using." So which is it? Go figure. PM

  2007 ANNUAL MEETING NOTES Saturday October 06, 2007 Year text for 2008: Exodus 14:13 "Stand Firm and See the Salvation of Jehovah." The opening talk by Brother Gerrit Lösch (GB) gave a brief bit of history of early organization and point emphasized was that Jesus Christ trusted the Faithful and Discreet Slave to carry on the dispensing of Bible truths and so should we. Point made that charter of WTB&TS of Pennsylvania was to disseminate Bible truths. Faithful and Discreet Slave are not inspired so they are going to err. John 16:12 Jesus said process would be gradual. The first of Faithful and Discreet Slave did not know how many would make up the group until 96 CE. Work being done well without knowing that. Adjustments will be necessary but that does not mean that slave is not the means Jehovah is using. We are in a time of greater increasing of light the unveiling of which is gradual. Country reports and invitation work experiences. Geoff Jackson gave the talk on the year text. He asked “Are you ready for Jehovah’s Day?” He said this year’s text from Zechariah got us focused on fact we are living in the final part of the last days. This time is different in three ways. Scope Jeremiah 25:31& 33. Intensity Daniel 12:1. Effectiveness 2Peter 3:10 & 12 and 1John 2:17. Earth is mankind alienated from God Heat is Jehovah’s anger Hissing noises indicates speed, a rapid passing. Jesus made comparison between Faithful and Discreet Slave and evil slave. Apostates complain we are too eager. Glad we are eager for Jehovah’s rule even if we are wrong once in awhile. We are not sure of all the details but we know Jehovah is with us. Used illustration of the Israelites leaving Egypt. Went right to edge of promised land and Jah made them back track and camp. They seemed trapped at the Red Sea. From a human standpoint there was no way out. That is when He totally brought Pharaoh to his knees. At the time it made no sense to Israel but Jehovah knew exactly what he was doing. We have Jehovah’s Day right ahead of us which teaches us four lessons. Jehovah ready for any trial and problem. Must obey regardless what is asked of us. We are so limited in perspective. Jah knows the whole picture. We can have total confidence. Brother John Barr (GB) spoke on the illustrations Jesus used regarding the Kingdom (mustard grain, dragnet, etc.) Very detailed. We are to be busy in the work sowing our seed and we are to get the sense of Jesus illustrations. Theodore Jarcz (GB) spoke Christ’s Presence and End of System He used the illustration of a talk. The conclusion covers a period of time. The speaker sums up or draws audience to a decision or the like. Takes time. The end is when he walks off the platform. Jesus presence includes taking power in 1914, dealing with opposers; all the features of the last days including the ingathering of the chosen ones their deaths and resurrection. This means an extended period of time. Up to and including fulfillment of Revelation. Spiritual discernment necessary to be bright and clear to us which it is. Those without spiritual knowledge do not see the significance. WE DO! Some anointed will be alive when the tribulation begins. First vision in Revelation. 1914 until last of anointed dies and is resurrected. Be resolved to be more urgent to keep on the watch. Prove ourselves ready for Jehovah, Jesus and our own welfare. The "generation" is all the anointed as a class from 33 CE to the end of the world. In the context of Matt. 24:34 was Jesus talking to his followers. Other instances of generation often had clarifiers, such as "wicked generation", etc. Bro. Barr stopped and said, "By the way, you'll be happy to know that there will be anointed on earth at the time of Armageddon". DRAGNET: ALL the fish were thrown on the shore. Don't get excited about the large numbers at the Memorial. Maybe these are not all good fish. MUSTARD SEED: Sows seed and then goes to bed. Remember, we sow the seed, Jehovah looks after it. Our role is to be regular in the service and to sow that seed. LEAVEN hid in the dough. What made it rise? Jehovah did it. At the beginning Brother Losch said, "We of the Governing body have not always had the right understanding. The Gov. Body is not inspired and neither are the publications. It is the Holy Spirit that helps us to find the correct understanding". Starting February 2008 elders will be invited to attend The School for Congregation Elders. It will be a five day course and they will start with the Presiding Overseers first then work through the others. Will start with the English field. Total in attendance at NY Bethels, Canada Bethel and New Jersey Assembly Hall was 14,937.

  I agree that this article, and infact, ALL of the articles are becoming 'worrying'!

  As for receiving the mags BEFORE most 'still in' dubbies....what can one say?

  However, on a far more serious note.....the control and FEAR engendered by the mind control tactics that I am certain the WT uses, is Alarming.

  I agree there's a certain frantic anxiety to my Witness's actions these days. The end must be "very close", and he wasn't around to be burned by the 1975 hype. The society is tighter, meaner, and controlling by fear.

  I don't think it will last much in to the new year. When the new magazine arrangement comes out and everything goes back to "same-ol, same-ol" there are going to be some very tired and apathetic Witnesses.

  There's good data to show that as a church reduces it's support and helps, participation and donations drop. I can't find the link right now, sorry.

  WTF...this may be my personal fav. We cant believe huge-major-general instruction like the gen. of 1914, but now we can belive a slave that says go to a certain valley dig a 200 cubit hole and get in there???? Since when did the slave start receiving and then giving out detailed ANYTHING that was right? If they can do that then go ahead and heal my frikking tennis elbow already!!!!!!!

  WTF WTF this is getting worse by the second! you are really gettin my day off to a bad start. Dont we really have "every reason" to question every damn teaching that is based on fraud or has been just flat out WRONG. A faithful channel couldn't screw up this much in less that was what they were being faithful about...."we are faithful and discreet screwups" . How were we part of this??? say it ain't so.....oompa
