After my conversation with my sister last week I was wondering what the WT$ was up to.

After reading this post is is apparent that they are twisting the screws. My mom has shunned all of her children except my youngest sister. It seems like mom is about to cut her off now. It's hard enough for an adult mind to wrap around this shunning thing. What bothers me the most is the chldren. Grandma here one day/gone the next. She already pulled this on her older grandchildren years ago and it was a difficult road for them and even harder to try and explain it.

Then people wonder why I seem bitter about JWs. I don't care what is written in their frigging magazines. I make no apologies for these idiots. Each JW is responsible for their own decisions. I just want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I said before, they are cultivating the siege mentality.

Any who leave after hearing about the official generation doctrine/anointed change will be viewed as dross.

The screws are definately tightening, I agree.

This is being demonstrated by having two seperate Watchtowers where no doubt the society can be more hard core with their rank and file. The latest January edition proves this by changing doctrine yet again as well as using more 'stick' methods of forcing performance rather than 'carrot'. The first part of one of the articles was tantamount to saying 'you will be bloodguilty if you dont go selling our books and you cant get out of the consequences of non action'. Scary shit indeed!

The Watchtower is fearful of losing control, they are tightening up to try and keep their market share.

I read the above edition and its sickening.

All I see in the meeting posts is CYA CYA CYA CYA.... and thanks for the notes Quandary. If you did not start your own thread with this, you should...I may have missed it....but now I really feel nauseous

Faithful and Discreet Slave are not inspired so they are going to err. CYA

Theodore Jarcz (GB) spoke Christ’s Presence and End of System
He used the illustration of a talk. The conclusion covers a period of time. The speaker sums up or draws audience to a decision or the like. Takes time. The end is when he walks off the platform.
Sorry but this is one lame illustration. ALL talk conclusions are supposed to be short or you will get a W!

"We of the Governing body have not always had the right understanding. The Gov. Body is not inspired and neither are the publications. It is the Holy Spirit that helps us to find the correct understanding".
Cya again.........and why cant the HS be a better helper? How about some clear instructions? It is like stopping at 12 gas stations and getting directions from every attendant who just came in from India.....Good source if you want to get to an alley in NEW DELHI!!! I am gonna have to go for a jog and whank off after this post..........I am steeeming.........oompa

Yeah, it's really sad because my mother is losing her mind because I told her I don't believe the WTBTS anymore. She breaks down into tears and says "Don't turn your back on Jehovah, we are SO close to the end!"

I hate seeing my mom like this. She should be enjoying the years of her life, not living in petrified fear.

The only thing I'm going to say to everyone when/if I'm forced to DA is: "You are all going to die of old age, so am I (barring unforeseen occurrence). If the Bible says there is a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous and 'the wages sin pays is death' then I'll let god sort things out after that."

Side thought for another thread.....Marm, what I like about this honest comment is how incredibly mathmatically correct it is. My dad/elder is kind of a computer. What are the odds that in the millions or billions of history, that out of the billions of people on this planet that have all lived and then...guess what died. What are the odds that little old us would somehow be at the one point in time where by gods hand we would never die as long as we do XYZ. Just the odds of being "born in" to this wonderful jolly bunch on a planet of over 6 Billion is amazing.....oh thank you King Lotto...................oompa

I wonder what is next. Already I saw one scan of the new Kool Aid Puketower, and the first series seem to be about having people give up their lives to make room for pioneering. Children out of high school are supposed to take crap jobs and pioneer instead of going to school. Adults without homes and responsibilities (--->>SINGLE BROTHERS<<---) are supposed to regular pioneer. Those who are working full time are supposed to take demotions and pay cuts to make room to pioneer. That is the gest of the first study articles (I am sure there will be more details in Comments You Will Not Hear).

At that point, not a word was said about donating more money to the organization. Many were expecting it to hound people to make wills to the Watchtower Society and to donate more money. So far, all they want is our time. Maybe the next one will hound people to donate their money and set up their wills and insurance policies to the Tower. And, perhaps a future article or series of articles will officially ban the Internet, college, and reading worldly material or severely censor what can and cannot be viewed from those sources.

This is great! We are not inspired by the HS, but we are corrected by it. So when our guesses are wrong, then the HS inspires us to correct them? It's so clear now.

'What else can we learn from Israel's Exodus from Egypt? That we must obey Jehovah no matter what he asks us to do. The Israelites were obedient in carrying out the detailed preparations for the Pssover. They obediently stayed indoors druing the night of Nisan 14. When they finally left Egypt, they had to go 'in battle formation.' Today it is so important that we follow the guidance that comes to us through 'the faithful and discreet slave!' We have to listen very carefully to God's word behind us saying" (quotes Matt 24:45) As we get nearer to the outbreak of the great tribultaion, we may well receive some detailed instructions. Our safe journey through those troublesome days will depend on our keeping in step with other loyal servants of Jehovah.'

It it will be interesting to see how the directions from the FDS are interpreted in each congregation and each BOE. There is a large variety now between congregations. I find that jws re-invent or re-interpret those directions and secretly do what they want. I don't see a large number selling their belongings and moving "where the need is great" or quitting their well-paying jobs to pioneer in great numbers. Or putting off having children to devote more time to preaching...................

What will they do when the FDS asks them to do something the Bible clearly does not support? jws are only interested in what humans might see them doing; God has left the land and he is not seeing.
