O well I guess vericose veins won't show when you get older anyway.

This is the biggest reason the dubs think once you leave the borg, you wig out. maybe their on to somthing

Yeah, I "wigged out" 10 years later

I openly adopt the term "freak" or "phreak" and will repsond to it anytime, but would prefer to avoid the term "wig" in the future (it's a bald man thing )

Edited to add; the pic with red lines is just the beginning. Those are guidelines for what will be some fantastic flamework. So this pic is like seeing the outline or rough draft of the final piece.

I never planned to get a tattoo, nor am I now planning any. Once you get one, it is irreversible and there is no guarantee that it will have the effect that you think it will on the opposite sex (it might even make existing problems even worse). They are extremely difficult to impossible to get rid of if you later change your mind about it.

I just wanted to add: I spent a lot of time thinking about the choice etc. But I didn't get mine to influence the opposite sex in any way! well okay maybe I thought the boob one would be a surprise but it was not a consideration at the time.

it's like the old saying," I object to everything your bumper sticker says! But I stand behind you and your right to stick it!" to each his own as long as there is no harm.

I've toyed with the idea of a small, discreetly placed tat.

I've since decided against it but got the top of my left ear pierced instead.

I can't find my pic right now, but I have a 4"X 6" tribal'ish gothic'ish heart on my right lower calf above ankle. I'm no wuss, I went for a

moderately big tat on the first one.

I got it in 2000 I think. The first time my mother saw it, she was on the phone and said, "I've got to go kill an idiot." And hung up. LOL

I'd like to have another soon. I have the design all ready but not sure of where I want it.

Piercings, I had my tongue pierced. Took it out when I was pregnant. I'd like to get that again. Plus others. I have 4 holes in ears. The "normal"

    places, I guess.

I would never get a tattoo. Primarily because I am in a very conservative occupation.

Has anyone every been turned down for a job because of a tattoo? I would think long a hard before hiring someone with a large tattoo that would be preceived as being rebellious.

When I reach my goal weight I am going to get a fairy on my hip as my reward.

I work in plumbing wholesale where most of my customers are right leaning and conservative as well. I will share my tattoos etc. with those who are genuinely interested or at least somewhat liberal in their thought patterns. As I stated earlier, my tattoos are all covered while at work and my visible facial piercings are removed during work hours. The bald head and goatee I won't budge on tho (the hair is genetic the beard is vanity)

I have never had a problem, but I have been working for the same employer for 12 years and only had 1 tattoo when I started. Since it was an ankle band and my postion is not that of a foot model, there were no issues. Overall, societal acceptance of tattoos and piercings is on the rise and these body decorations are much more common than they once were. Tattoos are no longer only for bikers, sailors and criminals and viewing them as such is archaic and ill informed.

Tell me about it. Just talking about it gets me itchin' . If I set foot in a tattoo parlour or hear a tattoo gun my blood almost itches. It's probably like anything else, everyone has varying levels of addiction

LOL, you sound just like my husband, BigWilly...we both went and got tattoos in September, my first, his, oh I dunno, probably about his 20th or so...he has lots...some are coverups, and he still wants more.

I've got my 2nd tattoo picked out, I just have to figure out where I want it. They ARE addictive.

Edited to add, that I've always liked tattoos, and always knew that I'd be getting some done eventually. I've got my nose pierced, and my ears done a few times. Always wanted to pierce my tongue, and just below my lower lip too, but now I fear I'm too old.....ahhh...
