The isolation you mentioned is incredible, because in reality most all already felt isolated and feel they can't measure up. To have it announced is the most archaic method of mental torture going.

Yes I was DF'd at at age 16...my parents, my father being an elder did not expect to go to the next meeting.

I got ready to redeam my self so got ready for the next meeting.......My parents did not have the nerve and each shot back a Martini. (Admidted many years later) but myself at 16 faced the most ignorant back assed religion in this hemisphere. They eventually reversed the decision, but let me tell you.....it was too little too late .Once reversed, I could have cared less .

It taught me to hate organzied religion, question god, and those feelings remain to this day at age 48. I felt nailed at a stake and was literially tortured for 3 months, I was called a piece of shit by a certian elder, and if they could have thrown stones they would have......they threw so many verbal stones I consdidered myself dead anyway. My Father and elder eventually dropped out and would have been considered an Apostate before he died.

My mother a lifer at aged 73 still hangs on.

My advice, Let go and move on... quickly. don't wast your life suffering with this bogus religion.

that by researching the religion you hold so dear. I am fading because of what I have found by diggin' on the internet. There are some good websites that will keep you busy for a long time. Just because you committed some

"immoral act" which I believe sex is not, its just an act, you are not unloved by God now! Hang in there and prepare to feel free now that you are starting to leave.

More tricks and slight of hand they use to keep you in line, and now we're scared? That will go away. We have life now, be grateful for it. Whatever you DECIDE to believe about what comes next, be grateful for your life and be happy.

I had armageddon nightmares for a couple of years after we quit, it was so ingrained in me-afterall I taught it to people for more than half my life. JWs say that hellfire is a doctrine designed to keep people scared and Catholic, but they themselves pull the same crap and worse on the flock.

JWs say the elders are different than a paid clergy and are just our brothers, HELL YEAH they're just like my drunken bi-polar brother.

Congratulations on being 'Fellowshipped', you'll find in time that it is the best thing that could happen to you.

You have to do a little research but it's not hard. There are websites such as www.jwfacts.com which are very helpful and easy to follow. Once it dawns on you that you've been fed a lie all your life and it's a load of baloney, you may feel very angry. But in the end it will be liberating so it's worth putting in a bit of effort.

Welcome LadyCCC! I was df'd at the ripe old age of 14. I never went back to endure the crap you've had. As to the elders failing to give you spiritual guidance, I think you have too high expectations. Janitors and window washers are unprepared to give guidance of any kind other than the best detergent to apply to vomit on the bathroom floor. I urge you to do as you said. Seek spiritual and social sustenance where it actually exists, which is not at the KH. I wish you well. carmel

I think your mistake was going back after you were df'd. When I was df'd in 1980 I never stepped into a KH since and never intend to. Stick around a while and enjoy the company, some great people here.
