So it was Franz who came up with the word "doubtless" when he couldn't answer a question directly from the bible. Evidentally, the words "I don't know" never crossed his lips.

    >>Well, as for the animal shit: he shoveled it off the ark into the water.

He must've bucketed as well as shoveled. And ladder'd, since the ark was 3 stories tall. And the only window was at the top. Just for fun, consider that the two elephants alone (assuming there were only 2 and not 7) would have produced nearly 700 pounds of poop a day. There were 8 custodians of this ark. That's a helluva lotta shovelin'.

ALMOST as much shovelin' as it takes to try to sell this 'global flood' story! ;-)

I guess Noah & Sons kept pretty busy, shoveling all that shit night and day, probably they did 12 hour shifts just to keep up with elephants, Hippos, cows, pigs, and all the other nonstop shitters on that ark.

WOULDN'T THE SHIT BEING SHOVELLED OFF THE ARK PLUS THE CARCASSES AND BODIES HAVE POISONED THE WELLS ETC?

I would think cholera would run rampant.

How does a person get cholera?

A person may get cholera by drinking water or eating food contaminated with the cholera bacterium. In an epidemic, the source of the contamination is usually the feces of an infected person. The disease can spread rapidly in areas with inadequate treatment of sewage and drinking water.

When slaves were being brought to the "New World", they were placed in the bottom of the ship and chained together. They were packed like sardines and were left to stew in their own (and everyone else's) waste. Most ships started off carrying around 600 slaves. When they arrived at their destination only around 200 would have survived.

It is indeed a "miracle" that the animals on the ark survived.

    Praise Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the LORD gave Noah more instructions than we have recorded in the bible, and in those instructions were direction on how to build an efficient waste disposal system and water pruification devices?

Wow, this is another one of tjose topics where I found myself wondering why that didn't occur to me when I was a JW? We were conditioned to explain away everything with "miracles." So much so that we, or at least I, missed so many things that common sense should have told me.
