I am absolutely in!! I use FitDay.com, its great. We are planning a trip to Mexico at the end of May. I'd like to drop 20 lbs by then. I'll be starting tomorrow. I've spent the day cleaning out the cabinets and the fridge. And no, I don't mean cleaning them out by eating everything!!!

I just got back in from the gym...I'm pleased to report that i incinerated 1072 calories just on the treads alone,72 better than i had planned for today..won't know what i got off in weightlifting till Fri when I go to have my BMI taken....oh yeah....it's definitely on now, lmao
Based on my weightloss goals,my caloric intake is supposed to be at 2000 calories a day, with 30 grams of fat,and as stillajwexelder said PLENTY of water so that all my fat metabolizing parts have enough to keep the fire burning
I know that CalorieKing book you speak of Hortensia,I have one of those too,i usually keep mine in the center console of my car so that when i'm out i know exactly what i'm getting into when i make my order,lol...my clinic also suggest that we keep a "food journal" so that we'll know exactly what we're putting in our bodies,it also helps to find that "sweet spot" of fat burning cause you can experiment with different foods and stuff to see what effect it has on you
Snakes already did a pretty good job of covering the "need to know" stuff,so if i can find my intro package they gave me there..i'll see if it adds anything,if it does i'll post it
One more thing i learned about drinking water was that i was retaining a boatload of it,because i was in an almost constant state of semi dehydration, the water that i did manage to drink, stayed with me,adding to my weight, and making my BP shoot through the roof. I jumped on the "Atkins"fad a few years back, and been trying to repair the damage of it ever since...now when i eat sugar,it seems like it almost instantly turns to fat,so if it's starts holding me up with my goal,im going in to see a doc and see if there's anything they can do.

Count me in too. I've been doing Weight Watchers for a few months but got a bit sloppy during the holidays.
I'm currently at 23 WW points per day which is roughly 1150 calories per day plus I have an additional 1750 that I can use over the course of a week.
Exercise is the toughest part for me. I know I should just toss my son into a stroller and head out walking everyday but finding that motivation has been tough.
I haven't missed a WW meeting since I started and I don't plan on it in the future. I find the accountability is very important to me. I'll add this in as one more layer of being responsible.

yes accountability is what keeps me going, I think. going online to my calorieking.com food diary, and going to the doctor and getting weighed once a month help a lot. also calorieking says if you increase activity you need to increase calories too, so when I say 1400 calories, I mean net calories after exercise is taken into account. I have to watch the water consumption, I don't drink enough so now I count my glasses of water too.

Count me in too! I started my new diet Sept. 15th. So far I lost about 15lbs, one dress size. But with the Holidays things have slowed down for me. But I haven't gained any weight back thank goodness. I want to lose 40lbs by Mid-April.
I use this website to track my calories and exercise . . . http://www.thedailyplate.com/users/myplate/?when=2007-11-09&expi=14552022
I'll check out CalorieKing.
I started walking during my lunch hour at work and I drink one Slimfast for breakfast everyday and am trying very hard to stay away from take-out food. I think though that I will add more calories to my breakfast and lunch and start drinking the Slimfast for dinner instead.
That is probably healthier for me. -
