So , would you change your lifestyle and become a sheep, bleating the responses to the q and a sessions and eating the fodder they chose to give you, and being regularly fleeced?
I am sure that you are a good person, bur their definition of good is different to anybody else's

If you were to ask yourself one question, please let it be this:
Which do you believe is true, that the Bible is the true word of God given to all mankind, or that the Governing Body's words are God's words of truth for all mankind? There is no 'both'.
If you tend toward the first part of that question being true and not the second, there is no way you could return to jws.

How in the world could you ever go back to a lying false prophet? They have been proven time and again to be Liars. How could anyone who has been on this board and see all the destruction this Cult has caused families and still want to be a part of it?
Your lifestyle is definitely not compatible with the JW religion, you will be required to leave your boyfriend. Many other religions, including my own also are against the gay lifestyle, but even they allow you a relative amount of personal freedom.
Why on God's green earth would you ever want to set foot back in that environment?
The NWT bible has been proven false beyond a shadow of a doubt, so why are you even reading it? -

Hambeak: In about 2 months you will have a lot of company from others on this board. I wouldn't be surprised if Simon shuts this board down himself. So get a head start. Go back to the meetings. Put your life style on hold.

Dear Hambeak,
(((HUGS))) No matter what you decide to do, remember one thing. The JWs claim to have the truth. Truth is 100% true. Not 90% or even 99% true. If it is less then 100% true, then it cannot really be called "truth". The truth is 100% pure truth.
Remember the old example we used to tell our Bible studies: Would you drink a glass of water if you knew it had only 1 drop of poison in it? Sure, it may look and look refreshing, but that one little drop may kill you. Would you still drink it knowing it could harm or even kill you? Of course not.
And so my dear friend, the decision to go back is of course yours. You may go back, and not be able to deal with the things being taught as truth that you now know, is not truth.
Think too, you will be expected to teach others things that you know not to be true. Can you live with that? When I told my JW Grandmother that I could no longer teach others things I knew were untrue, I asked her how was I, in good conscience, preach to others these things. She said that Jehovah would hold those who publish the literature accountable if the things being taught were untrue..but at least I would be following direction and would be doing what I was told. My reply to her was, I couldn't do it. Knowing how much Jehovah hates a liar, I could not in good conscience continue.
My suggestion to you is that you do some deep research on some of the topics I am sure you are now aware of. Perhaps you have never done research to really know how much the organization has deliberitly decieved its followers. But if you are considering going back for reasons other than family and friends... please take the time to research before you make your decision.
Just know that whatever happens, what ever you decide, we will be here for you if you need us.

Very interesting take and definitely food for thought for those vacillating between staying or leaving.
I, for one, have had my fill of doomsday prophets. You can waste an entire lifetime following after these men
thinking you're doing it for God.
