Like all choices, this one has costs and benefits. I will assume you are looking for current benefits, not post Armageddon benefits to being a witness. Benefits. Structure Typically decent people who will show concern for you and some will help you out in times of trouble. (Not sure what the differential is between witnesses and worldly people. Lots of worldly people are giving too.) Something to hope for. If you believe it. Costs. The time you have to invest in repetitive mental exercises. This is opportunity you could be using to learn new skills, explore new hobbies, go to school, read, etc. Having to mold yourself into someone who is acceptable as a member of a congregation. its your choicc.

Thankyou layinglow, crusoe and joelybear and chikie my sister,

I'm still stuck knowing it's jehovah that I believe in, or more precise the God of the bible, so if I break it down into a simple question? how can I find a religion that expressies that in me? your point are cool crusoe but I'm not ready to abandon that yet.

I certainly haven't ever focussed on armegaddon my thoughts are for the reality of living with the here and now in religion.

    Jehovah wants you back, reniaa.

I know because the Bible Teach book tells me so.

I hope the two of you are very happy together.

Just remember, he'll give you no money.

    He'll send you no flowers.

    No weekends away.

    He'll never make you dinner.

And forget about any tender loving.

But piss him off, and he'll pulverize you.

Best of success to you and Jehovah.

    Watch out nvr!

You might get labelled a bully for speaking honestly!

Maybe a few apologies are in line.

    Starting with yours, I hope.

You have a lot of nerve, expecting people to apologize for responding honestly to a question. If you and your sister don't want answers, then don't ask questions.

    Sheesh.

Sorry if the rest of us aren't living up to your expectations. (No offense intended to Crusoe.)

My sister was just upset over sirona post were she pasted down all my posts from other threads, I told her it was ok I had nothing to hide :)

On saying that my experiance from other forums made me quite surprised at that from sirona, having heated discussions is one thing and I don't mind, Although I reserve the right to defend myself as I did, but that sort of post and pasting smacked of bad taste and bad etiquette IMO.

This isnt fair my sister (biological) has come on here for advice and comments and is responding what she thinks

Someone who is sincerely looking for advice does so with an open mind and is willing to consider all perspectives objectively. I get the impression she came with her mind already made up and is merely seeking validation.
