I would normally tend to agree with V, and almost said the same myself about your e-mail yesterday.

BUT.... sometimes you get just ONE REAL SHOT AT IT with JW's. And that is overall why I think you handled it the best way possible as posted.

Agree, disagree, acknowledge or deny, at least it has been TOLD.

So what happened to Reniaa? All that work and no reply at all?

No answers to my questions. No dealing with all those problematic facts about WT world.

Just doing her same old song and dance ON NEW THREADS NOW...

    Am disappointed Reniaa.

Reniaa...... OH RENIAA.... where art thou?

You have some questions to answer and issues to deal with over here still.

    No more stalling Reniaa.

    No more running Reniaa.

Let's face the music together Reniaa.

The JW's are not God's "chosen" anything.

The FACTS tell it like it is.

Its frustrating isn't it when you realize that ignorance will stick so well whenever fear is attached to it.

    Seeker4,

That was an excellent letter. I hope it does some good. Here are a few factual errors, though:

: He was buried under a huge pyramid - and it's all covered with Masonic symbols! Pyramidology was a part of Witness belief well into the Rutherford era.

Russell was buried next to a tombstone (in a toga!) which is near that pyramid.

:Those are the sort of things I was talking about last night. The Society can't change a lot of things that it can no longer support. If you change the 607 date, you lose 1914, If you lose that, you lose 1918, which is the date the Society claims Jehovah picked them as his spokesman on Earth, which is where they get all of their authority from.

Actually they were still supposed to be in "Babylonish Captivity(tm)" in 1918 (Rutherford et.al. were in prison). They were allegedly given all spiritual authority in 1919.

:I'll bet not one in a thousand Witnesses knows what the WTS actually said was going to happen in 1914. It wasn't the return of Christ – they said then that that had happened in the 1780s!

It was taught that the "time of the end" began 1799 (the year the Holy Roman Empire collapsed), not the return of Christ. That date was taught as late as 1930. 1914 was taught to be the start of Armageddon and the rapture of the Saints.

Absolutely excellent letter seeker. If she actually read it, I guarantee you gave her a lot to think about. Realizing that people leave "The Truth" because they actually don't believe it was a major eye opener for me that may very well have been my first real step toward the door. And my own loss of faith in the organization also dovetailed my loss of faith in the bible. If I ever have the occasion to write my own family, I will use your email as a reference. Nicely done.

For photos of Russell's tombstone and the nearby pyramid, go to http://www.dannyhaszard.com/pyramids/cemetery.htm . That page also has links to video clips if you want to take a visual tour of the burial grounds.

Thanks for all the corrections. I was whipping this off at "work" (don't tell) and had limited time and no research material. Working from what I could remember.

    hi vinny

sorry you had to chase me it's actually not that I run but that I just hit and run post on here few days on and sometimes months off. also I have no way of finding out what posts I've posted on like in the old days for some reason.

I'm answering on this link thread so as not to sabatage the satan thread.

Blood is a difficult issue and one really we can only answer if we are in that situation. I took the stand once for myself and refused, having iron transfusions for myself I was okay, as for children It's personal to any person if they can or not it would be wrong for me to say yes or no since I know from personal experience of actually taking the stand only for myself that it's something you truly only address at the time. I'm glad fractions are allowed now.

I could equally ask this question...given that the Bible is very clear that lifeblood belongs completely to God and this is a rule kept from the hebrew right through to the greek scriptures if blood wasn't a life and death issue would you agree with it?

What if one day they found cells havested from embryos of humans could be a cure for an illness in yourself that you are dying from would you use them?

Jews will go to extreme levels to avoid eating any animal blood whatsoever but happily take blood transfusions.

With all of God's law I can see in mnay cases protective reasons for them. I can see with fornication why we don't because the consequences are so hurtful to ourselves and our offspring. I can also see why he forbids adultery etc? but is that the case with blood?
