Not to get off track, but my oldest sister's kids are half black. Now, I never could stand pickles or mustard as a kid. I started liking them, however, when I was in my late teens. I still won't drink straight pickle juice. All three of her kids, however, have loved pickles and mustard ever since they were babies. Before they could talk, they liked chewing on pickles. This made me wonder if perhaps certain races are more predisposed to liking vinegar or other types of spices. I have no idea. What do you all think?

I knew some mexican kids who lived next door to my grandparents. They loved pickle juice and would drink it like koolaid. They also would say "shicken" instead of chicken. Great kids. I miss their mom's homemade tortillas and tamales.

Well sure, I like fried chicken as well. What we like, however, is not entirely due to upbringing, as shown by my sister's kid's taste for pickles and mustard.
