I just wish I hated fried chicken. It's so good. :(

Not to get off track, but my oldest sister's kids are half black. Now, I never could stand pickles or mustard as a kid. I started liking them, however, when I was in my late teens. I still won't drink straight pickle juice. All three of her kids, however, have loved pickles and mustard ever since they were babies. Before they could talk, they liked chewing on pickles. This made me wonder if perhaps certain races are more predisposed to liking vinegar or other types of spices. I have no idea. What do you all think?

    Stop it, please! LOL

I hate both pickles AND mustard!

They can, Sylvia! When my daughter was born she cringed at her father's voice. (long story)

When my son was born (different daddy) he looked at his Dad as if to say "So you are the dude that was talking to me?" Every night when Mr. Dinah came in from work, the baby would wake up and kick the living crap out of me. He was just all excited. They already knew each other when he was born. It was sweet.

My dad was a vinegar fiend. He was French/Osage/Welsh so that will be hard to track.

I like vinegar as well, and like my dad much prefer acidic foods to sweet foods. Even before I learned about Vermont folk medicine. ;-)

Listening to some Afro-Cuban beats right now

My favorite music is Cuban salsa followed by traditional Hispanic music. I don't speak Spanish so I often don't understand a word they are saying. Try to explain that one. I'm clueless. I was raised on blues/rock and really like it. The Carribean/Hispanic/Cuban stuff is what kills me though.

My boys are half black, half indian. They like fried chicken curry and watermelon slurpees.

The fried chicken, beans and watermelon might be a southern thing. My garden watermelon is almost ripe(yumm). I do prefer Jamaican style bar-b-que chicken now to fried chicken. As a kid though, I thought the only way to prepare chicken was to fry it.

Never give me an excuse to link music though.

Can anyone listen to this and not want to jump up and start dancing?
